neoakaj Posted June 7, 2013 Posted June 7, 2013 How would this be for a base boot? From what I can tell they have a single color sole. Also with them not being too tall, I think getting in and out of them would be pretty easy. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/MAVERICK-A3022ES7-MENS-NEW-HONEY-SUEDE-LEATHER-HIKING-WALKING-BOOTS-/380557109372 Now for Lancer spec, would the stitching be a problem? I know I cannot have visible stitching, but if I was to cover the stitching when I modify the boot, would that be acceptable? Or is that more of a pain than its worth?
jyjellyfish77 Posted June 7, 2013 Posted June 7, 2013 Yeah the stitching will be covered by the seam that you add after the toe is finished. Check with the seller because shipping them to the US may be more than the auction. That style is good though. Walmart Brahma ones are good too and around $20.
neoakaj Posted June 7, 2013 Author Posted June 7, 2013 I was at Walmart today looking. I didn't see any that had a solid color sole. Maybe it was just my choice of store, i'll try another location tomorrow. And thank you
Griffin-X Posted June 7, 2013 Posted June 7, 2013 You can always paint the sole a nice wheat color. A lot of us do that bit.
4505Marcel Posted June 8, 2013 Posted June 8, 2013 That base boot will be just fine, the stitching once the trim is glued on cannot be seen. Infact the stitching gives something for the E6000 to bite on to.

I will keep this in mind from now on, thank you!
