topherhunter Posted May 31, 2013 Share Posted May 31, 2013 I just got my bucket from eBay; the fiberglass one from Bolivia, made by CB. First off: I personally think it's beautiful workmanship. Both the interior and exterior have very clean finishes, and it looks great. I'm no expert, but feedback from others on here appears to be positive as well. I ordered this one in a fit of panic as the KS buckets were coming back with bad pulls. My KS was already on order, and as you can see in my other post, it appears that I got a good pull. So here are some comparison shots for you. I've only started trimming the KS bucket, but this should give you a nice idea of relative sizing and shapes. I'll post the measurements to the ultimate sizing thread as well. Saw someone bought a CB & was extremely happy with it, the good reviews started coming in on the KS. Now your here with the comparrison of the two. Very sleek design and I would recommend it to anyone as it already has the correct snout casting and if you don't mind a bit of extra weight. NegativeEleven Posted June 3, 2013 Share Posted June 3, 2013 I might be up for trading my KS and some cash for one of these if someone's not happy with it. I'd like something heavier. I actually glued some 1/8in steel bars inside mine to add weight at least to the bottom. I was so frustrated while sanding, gluing and painting on the KS (had to paint it because they sent it in 2 different colors of ABS). It's so lightweight, the slightest breeze would make it tip over and roll around. That's not a good thing when the paint and glue aren't dry and every surface of my garage is covered in dust from Bondo, wood, etc. Just be careful buying on ebay. Don't get the fiberglass helmet from Texas. That's the SF recast that I have here, hoping someday to mod into something useful. Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
