Death Recon
I tryed to find the proper paint colours but only found the old ones with the yellow in it... On the CRL it says: * Chrome undercoat or applied topically * Krylon khaki tan for the base color/custom mix available - check with armourers for samples * Polly scale, Panzer Olive green F505113/Humbrol no 78 * Tamiya Color, Flat Earth (brown) FX-52 item # 81359 * black/grey/white misting as appropriate When I went to The paint section of my local store they couldn't find anything with those names or numbers so I had to do some searching of my own... I have a good dark grey primer for the base... Rust-oleum, painter's touch (bonds to plastic) A metallic silver overcoat for the chrome effect... Krylon, Metallic, Brilliant, Silver Then I found a Tan I think will work... Krylon, Camoflage Tan, Ultra-Flat (also bonds to plastic) For the green and brown I wanted to see what you guys thought so I grabbed some paint strip cards...I'm down to 2 choices for each, this was hard since I was trying to go off screen caps from the movie on my phone and matching the colors to the strips... Top 2 of each strip: I think I'm goig to use the top green with the tan and the bottom brown: I'll be getting a small can of the green and brown paints since I'll be using my air brush to put that part of the Camoflage on. Death Recon
Ok so what are most people useing for the black on their Tank greeb, & the black patches on back of helmet... A semi-gloss? I'm also painting my DC-15S & SC-15L
Grumpy
Semi-gloss should be okay for the tank greeb. If it doesn't look right, hit it with a little bit of a flat clear coat. After I painted all of the pieces with the camo, I sprayed everything with a flat clear coat.
