Ok I'm going to get started on my bund and boots but I'm stuck.what fabrics do I use for them?

Most people use a heavy cotton twill for their bund and everyone uses white vinyl (marine or other) for their boots. Watch the way you cut your pieces from the vinyl, it only really stretches one way.

Also, hevy stiffner is goid to sew or otherwise adhere into your boot tops to avoid too much sag. Some have used a sort of nylon taffeta for the bund and there have been a few conversations around here as to which is more accurate. Cotton is easier to work with and sew. Some light batting in the frint of the bund will help those vertical lines between the pouches pop, as will a slightly heavier stitch.

I used a heavy weight cotton with white felt inside to give it that "pillow" look.

Yes go for marine vynil for your boots mate, not too grainy though. Ive never heard of the vynil only stretching one way. I must have made close to 100 pairs of boots and never found the vynil only stretches one way. Use heat for sure or leave them in a hot car to get a nice stretch, before attemting to glue.

Heavy matt cotton is what I use called twill ior sometimes drill, although it is said that possibly a more shiney heavy weight fabric may have been used originally. But heavy weave is the key, and I suse two layers divided by a 4oz wadding packing to puff them up some
