Which style of boot is best?

Was thinking of making some new boots. I was wondering what evertone uses. If you use a smooth leather or suede boot? Which will the glue stick too better?

I use the honey coloured suede, E6000 tend to stick much better to the rough texture of the suede. If using smooth leather I would suggest roughing up the surface with a dremmel or sand paper
