gowinme Posted March 25, 2013 Posted March 25, 2013 Hello all, My vest arrived and it is tight across the chest so I need to send it back for alterations: I did a quick mock up with my armor and need some input on the sleeve length to see if I should ask to have that modified as well. The CRL states that "the sleeves should end just slightly longer than the bottom edge of the shoulder armor." The sleeves appear to bunch up so they may need to be more form fitting to my bicep. What are your thoughts/input? Thanks in advance for the assistance.
Chef Posted March 25, 2013 Posted March 25, 2013 In short.... yes and yes... For comforts sake, I'd increase the girth around the chest. The sleeves do need to be a bit more form fitting, but the length isn't too bad. You could probably loose an inch, or just drop the bells down a bit. Tough one. Vests are a real pain to get right unless you've got the recipient standing in front of you when doing the measurements.
BrewDiver Posted March 25, 2013 Posted March 25, 2013 are there straps on the shoulder bells?, you might have an issue like i did with them "Ballooning" out, i would leave the sleeves alone for now then when you get it back try and take in some of the slack to prevent that.
gowinme Posted April 7, 2013 Author Posted April 7, 2013 Thanks for the input. I sent back the vest to have the chest dimensions altered but will leave the sleeves. I can always adjust those once my armor is fitted. The feedback is much appreciated!
