Starting my Armor

Hello All,

 

I am starting my armor this week and had a few questions:

 

1. I am on the market for the under vest that is required for 501st approval, can anyone be of assistance in pointing me in the right direction to locate one of these?

 

2. How can I tell if my helmet will make the cut for approval? it is a custom made fiberglass helmet that I have purchased off an auction site. The seller stated that he was going for 501st approval but did not have the bandwidth to start the process. I also purchased a padded liner for the helmet is this acceptable?

 

I really appreciate any feedback and pointers, I am stoked about getting this armor finished and approved.

Post up some pics of your helmet. As far as a vest..check with ladysewforus here on the boards. She makes them.

Hopefully your helmet vendor wasn't one located in South America or Hong Kong.

 

Ladyswfous wasn't taking orders when I contacted her a few weeks ago, that she had too much workload to catch up on.

Going to post pics ASAP, so padding inside the helmet is exempt? I will be sure to read the new members FAQ a little deeper before asking about items for sale.

You can do whatever you like to the inside of your lid mate to make it comfy. Im trying to get us a new vest vendor so stay tuned.
