Chris L Posted February 12, 2013 Posted February 12, 2013 I've noticed the standards for costumes have risen, and as a result, I need a vest. As such, and given my lack of sewing skills, I think my best option is to buy one. Does anyone sell them? I live in the US.
Chex Posted February 12, 2013 Posted February 12, 2013 Ladysewforus makes vests. Check with her on pricing and time frame.
PredatorMV Posted March 2, 2013 Posted March 2, 2013 My wife and I also make vests if you are interested.
4505Marcel Posted March 2, 2013 Posted March 2, 2013 There is also a lady in Germany, who can be found in my bund sale thread. Im also trying to source anouther vendor as we speak for these.
Silver Fox Posted November 6, 2013 Posted November 6, 2013 The CRL has the Starfortress vest pictured. From what I've seen in the reference gallery and around the web, it's not screen accurate. Am I right?
Chef Posted November 6, 2013 Posted November 6, 2013 I'm not sure it's the StarFortress vest. There is no hard and fast rules to say how the vest should be, but from these pictures from my tutorial below... We can deduce that the sleeves are padded with a single area of padding, the closure is 2" up the back, the neckline is very wide extending almost (in not under) the shoulder bells.
Guest Axelay Posted November 8, 2013 Posted November 8, 2013 I'd look for one of Cucblack's vests. I recently got one and it's outstanding quality. His sales can be found on eBay - which I wouldn't typically recommend due to past experiences. He will custom tailor it to your exact measurements.
