Nose rest?

Hey guys I just finished my bucket but as I was wearing it, the helmet would move around.it wasn't loose because of the hard hatliner but the front kept sliding because my nose didn't rest on the face plate correctly.my bucket is an SC so the bottom lenses clip hits my nose a lot and its not comfortable.what should I do to make my helmet comfortable to wear and not hit my nose constantly?

Just so you know bro, the lens clip thing isn't standard with an SC. Jeff hooked you up.

 

You I guess have 2 options:

1) shave/cut/sand the lens in the area that touches

 

Or

 

2) Trim your snoz off

 

I'd go option 1. Lol. Others may have a better solution though

Well like I mean the helmet doesn't just stay in one place the face slides down.I have to adjust it constantly.the liner keeps it from spinning but I need something to keep my nose in place

If that liner is as tight as it will go, then switch to another liner. They are supposed to keep it from moving in every direction. When you wear a welders shield, it front loads the weight. If that's not an option, then add some weight in the back to balance out the helmet.

 

FYI: the accurate liner is a welding shield liner

Oh, just thought of something else. You still have long hair? You might need to tuck it some so the back of the liner grips closer to skin.

Ill try tightening it.and o well(to the welders shield) I'm not going 100% accurate.and yeah I still do.I put it in a pony tail and tuck it in.but yeah I can still tighten it alot

Thanks tht worked c:imma just put like a piece of foam on there so it doesn't hurt if it slams on my face.lol my friend pushed it into my face and tht hurt so im going to glue a small piece of foam to the bottom clip

You could also put some foam and velcro between the top strap and the inside of the dome.

 

The bolts at the temples prevent it from moving left to right but the helmet can still rotate on them. Something to join the geadband and the upper lid will keep it solid.

i have a big nose, and found that i needed to put a piece of foam where my nose hit the faceplate. since then, total comfort. no scraping, no rubbing, it was the best thing i could have done...and helped me avoid having to mess with the padding elsewhere in the bucket
