Pandatrooper Posted January 25, 2013 Posted January 25, 2013 This diagram should help illustrate the current Biker Scout Lancer spec guidelines for elastic and strapping webbing. The dimensions of the straps can also be used for a basic Biker Scout as well. The Lancer guidelines can be found here. http://forum.bikerscout.net/index.php?showtopic=1364 8
Southscout Posted January 25, 2013 Posted January 25, 2013 Nice picture Terry! I saw similar pictures over at FISD and MEPD, but it never struck me that we lack something similar. Can't this pic be pinned below the CRL? And maybe one picture that has arrows to some details like 25mm closure on the boots, 50mm closure on the bund, etc etc.
Chef Posted January 25, 2013 Posted January 25, 2013 Cheers Terry... that's superb. Do you mind if I copy this and stick it on our Garrison forum? Although I think the Lancer specs need updating a little. We know the Belt was secured with Velcro (similar to the TK Belt). But that's just a minor point..
bwattsup Posted January 25, 2013 Posted January 25, 2013 Thank you Terry. This will be a great asset when my armor arrives. Cheers!
Dart Posted January 25, 2013 Posted January 25, 2013 Out of curiosity, why is the width of the underarm chest/back straps 2"? It always appeared (to me) to be the same width and material as the drop boxes (1.5"). From a costume production standpoint, it doesn't make sense to me.
Pandatrooper Posted January 25, 2013 Author Posted January 25, 2013 Thanks all, glad its helpful. Chef, feel free to copy and shar, thats what this kind of thing is for - helping other scouts. Dart, I agree, I think the chest to back under arm strap is narrower than 2". I'll start a separate topic about that. I'm happy to update the diagram as needed if specs change.
boetscher Posted January 25, 2013 Posted January 25, 2013 Thanks Terry. This will help me enormously more
Griffin-X Posted January 26, 2013 Posted January 26, 2013 As always, you have done a fine job. I like your attention to detail Terry.
Pandatrooper Posted February 11, 2014 Author Posted February 11, 2014 Hi all, could we sticky this image on the forum somewhere? People always ask me strapping questions and it would be easier if this visual info wasn't tucked away. I can always update the specs if need be. Thanks, Terry
Griffin-X Posted February 11, 2014 Posted February 11, 2014 If you can update the logo and finalize anything that's missing (shoulder bridge width), I'll hook it up.
Pandatrooper Posted February 13, 2014 Author Posted February 13, 2014 No problem. Which logo are you referring to, do you mean the new banner on the forum? Also, it seems like there's still discussion on the shoulder bridge width, so I'll wait til that's solidified, then I can update the diagram. Cool?
batninja Posted February 13, 2014 Posted February 13, 2014 I'm wondering if this would be a good time to correct the chest armor connection width as well, since we appear to have enough visual evidence to support it. 1

Sounds good to me, just let me know once it's ready and I'll hoist it up! 1
uscstaylor Posted January 10, 2015 Posted January 10, 2015 Thanks I'm going for the Lancer as well. Nice Photo!
Dart Posted January 11, 2015 Posted January 11, 2015 Might want to update the belt closure part and the mounting of the TD.
4505Marcel Posted January 11, 2015 Posted January 11, 2015 Don't forget all current info on lancer will be in the biker CRL section 1
Pandatrooper Posted May 26, 2015 Author Posted May 26, 2015 Can someone please clarify what the latest widths if the straps and elastic are and I'll update the diagram? Then we can finally pin this somewhere so people can find it easily. Thanks Terry
