Messing around with the Kashyyyk pouches

Just thought i would try my hand on painting some of the camo colors on a few of the plain khaki pouches that I have.

I used a small craft brush try to blend the colors a bit.

 

 

Good? Bad? Don't really care...?

I'm liking the way its turning out but maybe after fading and weathering the brown will not be so crisp. looks like a new recruits pouches atleast on the 2 center large pouches

Pouches look great Grumpy. I ended up using the first set of pouches I made for a Halloween costume this year. So now that the armor is ready, I need to get to sewing my new ones. I hope mine come out as good as yours did.

Looking Awesome Matt! I love the way you brushed on the colors. That makes it look more realistic and original. The only thing you might want to add is some weathering (possibly ripping one or two of them and adding some drbris). I know my weathering techiques are a considered little extreme to some folks , but I think it adds more realism to the concept of warfare as depicted in EP III.

I was just having fun with some of the extra pouches that I made. Just a rough paint job.

Trying to make these things look like the over-shadowed and just-too-quick screen shots from Ep. III.

Waiting for it to get a little warmer to add some spray weathering. 10 degrees out is just way too cold in the garage.

 

I might sell this set and paint up another set. I just bought some more material, so I'll be cranking out a few more.

The new owner can do the "extreme weathering" like yours. I'll just paint them. Or they can get them in plain khaki and do it themselves. Yup!

Cool.........about the pouches (not the weather- brrrrrrr). At least your at 10 degrees........ we got down to 4 degrees on night shift about 5 nights ago. I almost had to call in a favor to borrow Midniterider's duster.........he-he-he.
