Donovan
Hey guys Donovan here wondering how you keep armor parts from slipping like the biceps forearmed and knees.do u have tight elastic or do you attach Velcro to the armor piece and the flight suit? Southscout
Velcro is the solution. One piece of adhesive velcro on the armor part, and a corresponding piece sewn on to the flight suit.
Chef
Yup, or go one further and add a pop stud into the middle of your velcro patch.... That's my method and it's what I term "trooper-proof"
Griffin-X
Agreed. In a word, Velcro. It's your best friend in the costume world.
Chex
Velcro is the cure all for slippage lol. Adding a snap, or as Chef would say, a popper, just adds to the security.
Donovan
Ok that's what I thought.so do I sew the Velcro on the suit?
4505Marcel
Yup sewn onto the suit and stuck onto the armour bud
Southscout
Ok that's what I thought.so do I sew the Velcro on the suit? Yes, remember to buy some sew-on velcro for that. If you try to sew in the adhesive kind you'll run into problems. The glue sticks to the needle, which makes the needle stick to the thread, which will not work very well.
