shdwtrpr13
So I have in my stock pile of fabrics I have a heavy duct canvas and a lighter cotton canvas. Which would be best for my bund and pouchs?
Chef
If those are your choices, I'd go with the heavy canvas for the pouches and the lighter one for the bund.
NegativeEleven
Isn't the bund supposed to be a little shiny. I'm sewing mine now with cotton liner and "nylon flag material" from Hancock Fabrics on the outside. It'll probably be too shiny and need some weathering to tone it down. I'm doing pouches in white muslin and off-white muslin. Figure I'll pick between the two when the whole suit's put together. I've made so many of those pouches (there's 4 on my Fett and 2 on my Cobra Viper) that they're 2nd nature to me. I just had to bump the pattern up by about 1/2". Chef
The whole shiny thing is still the 'latest' debate. There are still things being seen in the Blu-Ray that open new avenues of enquiry. I'm all for it, but it is also generally accepted that a cotton bund will be more than sufficient.
