chilledmilk Posted December 13, 2012 Posted December 13, 2012 what color are the greebs. the oval stripy thing, grey, white, tanish?
Jimah Posted December 14, 2012 Posted December 14, 2012 Mine came in white, but I weathered them heavily. So they appear grey except under very close scrutiny. Grey is the desired colour/effect.
chilledmilk Posted December 14, 2012 Author Posted December 14, 2012 ok, thx mine are grey ill just throw a extra coat of grey on just to cover and uniformity so awesome gloves are like 90% done
kwdesigns Posted December 15, 2012 Posted December 15, 2012 The should be a "Beige / Taupe" color. Similar to the soles of the boots and the wrist bands and handback pads on the gloves. Kevin W.
Heatshock Posted January 4, 2013 Posted January 4, 2013 hang on guys - the CRL says grey but as you can see in these pics - its hard to say what it is under all that weathering if you do go beige or taupe, you would have to weather it with some black to give it that greyish look Kev - you got refs that are different or is that how you are interpreting the colour in the above pic?
Grumpy Posted January 4, 2013 Posted January 4, 2013 Dang CGI and shadows!! It seems that they could go both ways. Sheesh! Is there a slate grey-tan color in existence?
Heatshock Posted January 5, 2013 Posted January 5, 2013 thats always been the problem w the CB think, we, as a community set a standard based on the refs we have, and go with it. afterall the crl is a standard set, which then gets modified as new info becomes available, and kwd ften has access to some awesome stuff nate
kwdesigns Posted January 5, 2013 Posted January 5, 2013 Here you go... Also the grebes on the glove with the raised stripes should also have small pointy pumps in the recessed area. They are also a true left and a true right. They are mirrored to each other, starting off thin then gets a little wider. I have not seen anyone make them like this yet. Kevin W.
Heatshock Posted January 5, 2013 Posted January 5, 2013 still looks grey to me Kev? A litter grey than on the pads on the gloves, but grey. dropped you a pm other troopers - your input will be welcome as I am about ready to drop the CRL off. Nate
