Silver Fox Posted December 9, 2012 Posted December 9, 2012 I'm wanting to put some padding into my holster to help make my blaster a little more secure & hopefully keep it from falling out. Suggestions, ideas, thoughts, pics, etc. would be appreciated. Thanks in advance!
Griffin-X Posted December 10, 2012 Posted December 10, 2012 I put a small, 2" square of white foam in my holster, just inside on the left. This gives the holster a little padding to secure the blaster. I have marched with it without the blaster moving around. But I mostly carry mine around in hand and rarely holster it.
Chex Posted December 10, 2012 Posted December 10, 2012 SC holster and KS blaster, and it fits snug. Never have had a problem with it falling out..just weighing it down. But like Jim said, I try to keep it in my hand as much as possible.
4505Marcel Posted December 10, 2012 Posted December 10, 2012 I attached a magnet into the handle of my hyperfirm and its never moved in my SC armour. Some have also used velcro, which apparently also worked.
Chef Posted December 10, 2012 Posted December 10, 2012 I'd go with Marcel's little idea. Get a circular rare earth magnet and stick it in the grip part of the blaster (in the round bit obviously), and then get another one and glue it on the inside of the holster (between the plastic and the boot). These babies will never come apart! Fortunately for me, the blaster and holster are from the same source, and as such, fit snugger than a bug in a rug. I can run round with mine and it still doesn't fall out.
Dart Posted December 10, 2012 Posted December 10, 2012 I've had the magnet in the blaster/holster - worked great. Currently, I rock a Hyperfirm but I have a bit of white foam stuck to the inside right of the holster to keep it tight.
Darth Voorhees Posted December 11, 2012 Posted December 11, 2012 I just put up a tutorial on how to do a magnet mod for this here: http://forum.bikerscout.net/index.php?showtopic=10291 this with maybe a lil foam and you should have a perfect fit!
Silver Fox Posted December 11, 2012 Author Posted December 11, 2012 Thanks all around guys! The guard on my blaster is metal, so I can just slip a magnet into the bottom of the holster. This was a big help
Chef Posted December 11, 2012 Posted December 11, 2012 Steel handguard on your blaster... now that's cool. If it's aluminium, I assume you know a magnet won't stick to it?
Silver Fox Posted December 12, 2012 Author Posted December 12, 2012 Ya, tested it just to be sure. Just need a decent strength magnet, just not too strong so I can pull it when I need it. I don't plan on keeping it in there much, but it's nice to have the option to store it for a few
