Chest Armor Shoulder Cover?

So I was just wondering what you guys use to cover the area above the shoulder where the two chest pieces meet. I have been using two loops of canvas, but it gets to be a hassle sliding the loops on and off and fitting it around the velcro. I was wondering if there is anyone out there with any better ideas or creative things they came up with.

I use the fabric I use to make my bunds to make the shoulder bridges, mine are made in a large T shape. Basically its a length of the bund material sewn and turned inside out to hide the stitching, with a 25mm piece of webbing approx 100mm long sewn across the top with a popper on each end. I then have a lentgh of black 25mm black webbing sewn to the white fabric. I then have the corresponding popper in the chest and back plate, the T part of my strap poppers on the chest and back holding it together, I then wrap the bund fabric around the join. Its just long enough to go around the join one full wrap. and has a piece of velcro to hold it closed, the black 25mm webbing hangs down for the shoulder bells to popper to

I used vintage elastic for the loops and T strap velcro and elastic under the loops. You can see how I did mine here

I used the method which came with the MC CD.

 

Here's how the strap looked before adding poppers. So it pops on from underneath, then goes around the top from the outside, which makes the elastic and velcro come out underneath:

 

And here are the poppers as they are attached to the shoulders.

 

The only tricky part is to figure out where to put the velcro on the T-bit so it closes once you've made the loop around the bridge.

never thought about using buckles like that on my chest armor... i might have to revise it.

I use 2" nylon webbing with a "T" style Velcro strip for the shoulders. Mine looks like this:

This is what I did, I used the duck cloth to make a covering, I am a larger guy and have close to a 4-5" gap between the top of the front and back chest pieces

I too have used Fabric. I have since made the them a little smaller so they are not covering as much as the Armor. This photo is a little old
