Hey guys I was looking into the rubies Tb helmet for my birthday and modding it.even if its modded is it still a terrible helmet?

since you are not 18 im pretty sure the rubies helmet will do you just fine and i would suggest modifying it anyway just so you can get an idea of what you are doing when you do eventually start making your TB it is good to start somewhere rather then nowhere.

It's made of rotocasted vinyl, so if it gets hot it will warp. I've seen some really good mods to the helmet but it's pretty in depth and requires a lot of work just to get it approvable.

If you're prepared to put the time into it, then the rubies can be a perfectly good lid.

It's not an overly complicated process, just a bit of a time consuming one.

Because they are vinyl, they do warp pretty badly in the warmth, so they need a lot of reinforcement to cure the warping.

They are a really good cheap option, and if you spend some time on them, you can make a really good useable bucket that will cost you less and look better than some of the kits that are out there.

Here is a tutorial produced by the UKG's very own HeathrowTrooper (now based in the USA.... Our recon force for the re-colonisation) for you.

Good luck.
