batninja Posted October 14, 2012 Posted October 14, 2012 Here is my lazy Sunday afternoon project: The Velcro is facing forward, as I intend to attach them under the chest armor as opposed to sewing them to the cummerbund. These measure 6"x7"x2". Quote
Maelstrom Posted October 15, 2012 Posted October 15, 2012 how did you sew the flap? Did you sew them together then turn them inside out? I like how crisp your edges look and am unsure what changes i need to make to make mine look similar Quote
batninja Posted October 15, 2012 Author Posted October 15, 2012 The pattern I use is similar to what's posted here on the forum, but it's all one piece. I cut two, sew them together, and turn them inside-out. Lots of ironing, too. The pouches are two-ply, all the way through. I top-stitch the edges to give them a sharper look. Quote
Maelstrom Posted October 15, 2012 Posted October 15, 2012 Okay i haven't ironed them yet, and I think i should redo the top stitches Quote
Maelstrom Posted October 15, 2012 Posted October 15, 2012 Hey do you think you can share that pattern with me? Quote

I oron everything flat before I start and then again once the flap is turned inside out. You shouldnt get those crease while building it. Quote
silent Posted October 15, 2012 Posted October 15, 2012 Would love to see your pattern as well, going to be starting these soon Quote
batninja Posted October 15, 2012 Author Posted October 15, 2012 I'll see if I can get the pattern online today or tomorrow. It's really not that different from the one already posted, except that it's all one piece. Quote
silent Posted October 15, 2012 Posted October 15, 2012 The more infor and refernces I can get my hands on the better, first build here and I really want to do it well Quote
Griffin-X Posted October 16, 2012 Posted October 16, 2012 Looks good! You know Eric, I'm in Hurst now, right up the road from you man. Quote
batninja Posted October 16, 2012 Author Posted October 16, 2012 Well, here 'tis. One square equals one inch. Contrary to this diagram, my actual pattern is 7x6x2.5", but it can be modified to any dimensions, I suppose. 1 Quote
