It's been several years since I've sewn a cummerbund, and I've misplaced my pattern. What are the dimensions of the finished crotch flap?

Anyone? Is there a pattern posted within the forums that I might've missed?

Size is really down to how large a trooper it is to fit, some say its 12" across the top. But I dont think it was as wide as that. Best bet is to look at the detail on the belt and guage the width from that bro, Ive slowly been shortening the length to get rid of most of the camel toe on mine

I'd say it's roughly about 3/4 of the width of your waist.

For me, that's about 10-11 inches.

The aim is to make sure it's not too narrow. It's actually wider than you think.

Just take a peek in the Gallery section at the one where the trooper is standing with his hands on his hips.

Thing is with the trooper you are talking about the belt is severly twisted if you look, the centre belt detail is more or less in line with the cod edge (left), and there is about half the thickness of the centre belt detail of cod hanging out to the right. Id say max 10" width possibly 9" of cod showing under the belt its very hard to tell. One thing for sure its more of a V shape rather than a line like ive seen from some vendors supply with their bunds that sort of end up looking odd rather than a nice V

It is wide though like you say, I keep tweaking mine but its hard to replicate.

I wonder if they would be better ending up as a V at the bottom rather than a 2" flat where the elastic attaches, to aid the dreaded tamel toe?

Ive just altered a spare bund with the cod finishing well short of the middle of my crotch, I have no camel toe now, but you can see where the cod ends Il show you saturday Rob and see what you think.

yeah, I think the camel toe is definitely more about how far you take it under the crotch, rather than how wide it is at the top.

I ended mine pretty much right under my plums, and whilst it is wide at the top, I don't really get the camel toe thing. You also don't really see the end.

We'll grab a coffee at lunch or something.

There's a couple of new scouts on their induction this weekend, and I feel like giving them a beasting!
