I'm not quite brave enough to use paints or anything hard-core, so I went with the old newspaper route. To be honest, it wasn't too difficult to get the effect I wanted, but it took a lot of rubbing the paper against the armor. And for me, it took more than one page of paper on a specific area. It's not perfect, but I am pretty happy with the outcome. I need more work on the belt area and the next step is to work on the boots. Constructive critiques are welcome. chimei Posted October 6, 2012 Share Posted October 6, 2012 the weathering actually looks pretty good...with just newspaper? i would also not be too careful when packing your stuff for transport to local troops. allow your pistol to flop about in your trunk/bag...things will get scuffed up pretty well and be super natural looking. of course, your pistol may need some touch ups, but i think that those weathering marks look great as well. i would swap out that snout though...for the more accurate one from MC. I'm going to go back and hit the creases of the armor area with a little work wear and tear look. And as for the snout, I'm looking to upgrade eventually. A lot of small things on my list, including getting a blaster. :-) Mike... working on doing that ASAP. But can you provide a link for the correct visor bolt covers?
