More accurate weathering?

So I was lucky enough to be at the RS Propmaters studio & they showed me a spray-on dirt!!

 

Different shades, etc. and can be washed off - they use it for the fett suits.

 

Has anyone come accross this? Could be more accurate & less forgiving that the usual airbrush/watered down acrylic methods....
