shdwtrpr13 Posted September 24, 2012 Posted September 24, 2012 So this week I'm going to fit the armor to.my chest. What I need to know is a method to use for fitting the armor and cutting the excess shoulder straps so they butt together with little to no gap. So multiple suggestions and techniques are greatly welcome.
Pandatrooper Posted September 24, 2012 Posted September 24, 2012 tape the shoulders together and put the armor over your chest. stand in front of the mirror and compare yourself to the film photos to see if the armor is sitting too high or too low. tape the chest and back wider apart if you need it lower or tape it closer together if you need it higher. take some photos of the test fitting and post them here on the forum and get some feedback if you are not sure how it should fit
shdwtrpr13 Posted September 25, 2012 Author Posted September 25, 2012 Sounds like a good plan. Expect pictures soon.
Chex Posted September 26, 2012 Posted September 26, 2012 Just what Terry said. I think we pretty much all did that lol. I couldn't tell you how many times I taped and retaped after looking in the mirror to make adjustments..
bjsavage7 Posted September 26, 2012 Posted September 26, 2012 I couldn't tell you how many times I taped and retaped after looking in the mirror to make adjustments.. Me too. One of those self-sized, duct tape mannequins would have came in handy for that.
shdwtrpr13 Posted September 29, 2012 Author Posted September 29, 2012 ok multiple shots I'll label them in order but...yeah I resized once and the last feels good to me. just let me know what you guys think. 1st set.
