Back on the speeder! Few questions about upgrades...

Hey guys, as some of you may know, i had sold my last biker scout due to needing cash. I was recently able to trade my ATA TK for a MC Biker and am happy to be back on the "bike" so to speak. However the suit i got needs some work.

 

1- I need the strapping for the thigh boxes. The off-white cotton webbing. Does anyone have a good source for that? I think MC sells it, but i know they are busy and id like to get this up and running ASAP. Id rather buy a bunch of it and have extra, and/or be able to offer some to other scouts rather than sit on the suit till i get it.

 

2- I need to get the suede for the thighs and buttflap. Id like to get something thinnish as to not bulk up the suit too much. Anyone know what gauge/thickness to order...or have a good source of the correct suede?

 

3- Im also going to need a vest, but i know of a few makers, so i should be good with that.

 

other than those few things and a few tweaks here n there, the suit is excellent. Im happy with the trade for sure.

Hey Lou...welcome back! Check out Jontay.com for some cotton webbing and other webbing needs. I picked up some pig suede for my setup at Tandy leather, or you can get a faux suede version at like Joanne Fabrics. Go with the thinnest version for either one.

Or there is Ebay mate thats where I got my straps, remember you need real suede if you ever want to go for lancer, just buy the thinnest Tandy have got

i grabbed a suede shirt off ebay...$6, plenty of fabric for both riding patches and butt flap

Couldnt find anything on e-bay that wasnt fake...so i just ordered some from tandy..thanks fellas.
