  1. I am still waiting for Disney to make the White Kashyyyk action figure. They show it on their ride...buuuut noooooo! I mean, the Skytrooper got a dang figure. Sheesh!
  2. Here are my "Captain Obvious" opinions... Now, while it might look like a "put-together-with-parts-they've-already-shown" kind of trooper, it's being "offered" or hopefully shown in the "Third movie of the Sequel Trilogy." (It's following the "mirroring in the movies" theme.) First we got the Biker Scout in Episode VI. Then we got the Kashyyyk Trooper in Episode III. Now, we are getting the Mountain Trooper in Episode IX. (Well, maybe...I just read the above comment about Disney/ Galaxy's Edge.) (I wonder what planet they will be featured on...most likely somewhere with big trees...heh!) Because they seem to be following the "Let's-have-a-forest-planet-in-the-third-movie-of-a-trilogy" theme. (Endor, Kashyyyk, and ???) Anyway, I like it. It has the Biker Scout snout, a Biker Scout-ish type lens, and those big-ass side pouches. (And other Shoretrooper elements, but eh...who cares?) This is definitely Pathfinder material! Whether it's in the movie or just an action figure at Disney, I still like it! Cheers!
  3. I don't know why he won't make the soles in tan. Ugh!
  4. Sorry for the delay on a reply. Ferra covered it well. Gio's boots (Crowprops) have the exact tread, as seen in brief Ep. III screenshots. But, for some reason he only makes them in a white boot with the grey tread. I think that is mainly for the Galactic Marine. (And the perfect boot for the White Kashyyyk Trooper...just sayin") If he can make them in tan with a tan base, that would be brilliant. But... However, I see you've found a nice boot. Happy modifying. Cheers!
  5. Another Kashyyyk couple! Brilliant! I am on here occasionally. (Sorry...third shift and my house problems are kicking my butt...) Ferra and I will help out as best as we can!
  6. Yep. Photobucket really killed all of the pictures I have posted. For the belt...um, it's a somewhat difficult thing to do. So, if you're able, you can actually sew the rubber belt to the bottom half of the nylon belt. Possibly by hand. It's a slow process, unless you can get a heavy-duty sewing machine. I actually did one where I sewed the rubber belt to the nylon belt. And left the "buckle on it. And then I sewed the top half of the nylon belt to the cummerbund. That way it would be one whole piece to put on. I wish I had some pictures to show you of that build, but again...Photobucket has all of my pictures held hostage. Let me see if I can get in contact with the guy that has that Kashyyyk that I built and have him send me pictures of the nylon belt/rubber belt/cummerbund combo. (Fingers crossed)
  7. He has since retired from armor and helmet making quite a few years ago. Sorry about that.
  8. If you can get or make a clear plastic lens, I have plenty of the green reflective tint you can have. No problem. I bought a roll of it online, and have plenty leftover. Even the clear plastic from things such as poster frames will work. (That's what I've used on past builds.) It's flexible, and easy to trim.
  9. I'm not even sure if there is a thread on dyeing them. I thought I had seen one, but...not too sure, now.
  10. It shouldn't. The cotton pants & shirt are the best. The smooth-textured "rip-stop" material is acceptable, but it dyes very weird. A lot darker, and then the threads have to be colored over. So, cotton is good. Make sure to remove all of the pockets, epaulets, and/ or any patches that might still be there, from the shirt. And remove the outer pockets from the pants as well. The large thigh pockets on the outside can be used for the thigh pouches. They do work for the right size, when sewed correctly. (I hate doing it, but for some reason I struggle through.) I've killed many sewing needles in the process...especially when I did the gloves...ugh! Another long and depressing story...) But, I have used Rit fabric dye. Black and Dark brown. One Dark Brown bottle and part of the black. (Add some black for a darker look...as preferred by the user.) The fabric will have a purple tint to it when wet, but will go to a dark to medium brown when dried. After you dye them, hang them up in the sun if possible to dry. When they are dry, see if that level of dyeing is good. Post up some pictures here and we'll offer up opinions. I realize that not everyone will have the best colors in their computer, but a "close enough" on the dye usually works. If what you end up with is too light, throw them back in the dye for another round. We'll continue to help out as best as we can.
  11. Are they cotton shirt and pants?
  12. SAC, the wording in the CRL for the boot is correct. The boot shown in the picture is not. It was one of the previous Kashyyyk Armourers. (Only a few of the Kashyyyk pictures, used in the CRL, are of my son's Kashyyyk.) At the time of the "fix," the wording was changed, but not the picture. The body of the boot is tan or khaki, the sole is also tan or khaki. And, sorry, but the cummerbund is still grey, but "weathered."
  13. The main body of the boots are tan or khaki colored. The soles are tan. Do not go by the picture in the CRL. At one point, the body of the boot "was" white. But, with the whining of some members (Who for some reason no longer have their Kashyyyk Trooper after all of the bitching they did...) declaring that the boots were tan, instead of white and a wee bit dirty, with some Kashyyyk sand on them...they are now TAN. (And have been that way for quite a few years now.) The CRL picture needs to be updated. So, if you find boots that are already tan...not much work to do to them, except some sole modifications.
