@Aradun thanks for this, appreciated. I wasn't convinced about the 3D bolts at all, so will get some of these you have suggested. Thanks to everyone for all the replies....there will be more questions! Looking to start ordering some soft items soon, so now looking at the jumpsuits, trying to find something decent/suitable in UK, also sourcing some other materials (Suede etc).

I'll need to take some pics when home, one I have at moment is rubbish. Basically the bits that came with the file don't look great, one element seems to fit the inside of the helmet (same size as hole) and the other element (outside with the concave part) has a smaller cylinder which seems to fill the hole (smaller than inside) but feels as if something should screw into inside grommet with out element only being a cover. The printed inside grommet doesn't look strong enough to take a screw (i know it will only have a 15% infill) This is the reason I was thinking of thinking of the Chicago screw (hidden underneath), but thought id ask what others have done?

Right defo need help here. Have printed helmet and looking at the hinge I am defo not sure of what to do to best secure. Lookingnat the gromets that came with the helmet I am not sure they are overly up to the job, certainly wouldn't want to screw anything into them. Was looking at 'Chicago Screws' but again not sure how best to use these for the hinge. Has anyone any recommendations or links to pics/vids of what is best to do. Cheers in advance.

@MrPoopie @LookBehindYou - ignore me on ear holes, read the CRL again 'd'oh!' Earholes are cut out -- mesh or paint is not acceptable: Area behind earholes inside the helmet is blacked out, either with paint or tape. No interior white should show from the outside of the helmet when worn.

@LookBehindYou if you have any advice on above, also appreciated. Was also wondering how you guys blacked out the 'ear holes' which are open on the print I done. I was just thinking of creating a blanking plate to glue in or should it be something else? Cheers in advance.

@MrPoopie hope you are well and a great Christmas (if that is something you celebrate). QQ. Printing off the files (thanks) would you have any details on how you worked the helmet hinge? Haven't sussed out how best to do this, to both secure and allow the movement. Again, any help really appreciated. Stovie

@MrPoopie I here you are someone who can maybe assist me 🤔 if so what’s the best way to get in touch? Any help would be amazing.
-
@LookBehindYou I may give you a shout if that is okay. Going to print the bits slowly and try make sure they make muster or I can tweak the physical item (post print). is it worth reaching out to MrPoopie for any specific files?

@Chopper does the GA kit pass muster for level 1, have you had to rework anything.

Howdy. Man....I think I could be one of those nightmare forum members, maybe I need to find someone local to blether to! So as above, printed blaster and holster, but not overly happy but not sure what one if wrong (granted the GA files, need tweaking - but views didn't raise to much on holster). My goal would be Level 1 so i can join in with the odd troop (love the work you do)...so not needing movie accuracy for my first pass. These just look way off, however I have dug about and sizes seem fine, certainly meet the number I have seen on some threads so i am lost. Questions: 1. Has anyone else used or using the Galactic Armory files and had issues with holster? (I got files this week and apparently many issues already addressed - although still not perfect)? If so, any pictures of finished holster/blaster together. 2. Stupid one....I can only get 3 fingers in trigger area of blaster, imagine with gloves maybe only two, is it that small? Cheers again.

@Chopper no worries. I’ll refrain from sticking images here, cheers for the thread link. 👍🏻

Alright Troops. Thanks to some help on some other threads i opted to go for the Galactic Armory files to 3D print. They seems suitable with some elements needing small adjustments as part of post print processing, so hopefully starting of in the right direction. Decided to start small with aim of printing and finishing these items to the required standard, and if finish is decent to crack on with the additional million hours of printing and prepping First Prints: 1. EC-17 Blaster/Pistol 2. Boot Holster (excuse the masking tape, small breakage issue....glue drying). As always any feedback appreciated as i start and go through my journey....be nice
