  1. I had to resubmit, but finally approved! https://www.501st.com/members/displaymember.php?userID=43348&costumeID=609
  2. Pros: Great quality materials. Measurements were correct. Always responded in a timely manner when I had questions. Cheaper than Keep Trooping. Cons: Wait time. I Their website states wait time is 20-28 weeks but I believe it was actually a 40 week wait time. I understand they moved to doing work part time as they used to be full time prop makers. That most likely explains the time but be prepared to wait. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  3. Current progress. - softgoods arrived! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  4. Soft goods from Darkside Closet are completed and will be shipping this week. 9 months of waiting and I know it’ll live up to my excitement. I’ve also added fans in the helmet and replaced the gloves with Endor Finders.
  5. As for soft goods, if you go DarksideCloset definitely order asap. They’re just starting my order from June. Theirs are made to your measurements. If you go with a vendor like Keep Trooping, they open their store once a month and offer set sizes (S, M, L, XL, etc) and should be a quicker turnaround time.
  6. StarArmoryProps on Etsy hooked me up with a replacement greeblie, I think we’re making progress! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  7. These backers do not resemble what is specified in the CRL. Are there any vendors that sell correct ones? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  8. Overall, it is comfortable. I’ll have a better idea once my shirt arrives. The one that came from the previous owner was super tight and uncomfortable. I have limited range in the elbow area. The forearm and bicep armor parts restrict me from bending completely. I can hit a 90 degree bend, but not much more. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  9. After reflecting, here are some things I know I need to fix: - Kama is too long. My kama coming from Darkside Closet will have a better fit - the gloves do not line up with the CRL. I’ve ordered an accurate pair from Endor Finders - the biceps are loose. I have tried sticking a towel inside them to help them fit a bit more snug. For a permanent fix, I’ll add foam liner inside them - chest and back pieces need to connect. I will add velcro so that I can snap them together when being worn.
  10. A few months have went by. I was able to get a finished kit from a 501st member from another garrison. Notes: - My softgoods are still on order. This set came with neckseal, shirt, pants, and kama. The shirt and neck seal are too small so for these pics I am wearing a basic grey long sleeve. My softgoods order is estimated to be finished in mid January. - The right shin plate came off as I was walking around. I will attach it back. - i had to expand the back ab plate since the original fit was a bit slimmer. Any guidance on improving how the armor fits I welcome! 11. Attempted weathering the boots. First three photos show a comparison between stock and weathered. Last four are where I’m currently at. https://www.dropbox.com/scl/fo/3cc2ai80ktau5alh97uc1/AHWHpHKIrbRRKbkI346IJpY?rlkey=nfku9j94ibxxmaf1akzj3oe67&dl=0
  12. Armor printing is starting! Sean Fields V5 for the helmet, NTX3D for the armor.
  13. Two cans of Montana Gold Sierra Beige and RustOleum 2/1 filler/sandable primer arrived today. I know I’ll need more but this should hopefully get me through the helmet since that will be the first parts printed.
  14. Boots came in the mail. They fit!
  15. I’ve purchased NXT3D’s files and a local garrison member will assist me with printing off the armor. We are aiming to go with ABS filament.
