  1. Ah okay, good to know. The belt was around my waist but it slackened off after a bit of walking about. I might just get away with it then if I can get the top of the bund to sit right! It will look a lot better if I can get it attached properly so that the pouches don't make it slouch too. Thanks!
  2. This guy seems to have a much bigger cumerbund than me, this would sort my issue I think... Thanks
  3. Hi Fellas Just to update I went on my first troop but I've definitely got lots to sort out, and was wondering if anyone has experienced the same or has any suggestions - My armour feels quite short so I had a gap between cummerbund and the armour. I've manged to hitch this up with Velcro so it now sits just below where it should, attached to the flak vest, however, now its to short and there is a gap above my belt, also you can see the strap on the cod piece. I think if my armour sat right it wouldn't be too bad but my chest/shoulders don't allow it to sit right. Has anyone used an extra long/tall cummerbund to remedy a similar issue - is this even allowed, I'm thinking this would be the easiest and cheapest option? Its not a million miles away, but I'm not happy with it yet. great advice on the velcro knee pads and bicep armour BTW😀
  4. Thanks for sharing that, I never considered attaching the bund to the vest. When placed correctly, should there be no black between the bund and chest armour? I think I can sort the knees too, I have a few adjustments to make on the elastic so I think they knees have rode down as I've been walking around, although my boots are quite high. I'll make some adjustments and post some updates. I got the holster attached to the boot with no issues which I am please about!
  5. Initially I just wanted to get a costume to troop in, but after researching various builders and options available I thought may as well go the whole hog and attempt 501st approval. I believe most of my kit is approvable/or has been by others, but it will certainly need tweaks and hoping for any advice - Anything at all to help me on my journey? Thank you.
  6. Having looked through others progress build I feel like I have totally cheated having someone do this for me, but y'all cleverer than me! 😂😂
  7. Hi all, I've been wanting to get in the cosplay scene for a while now and hummed and hared over costumes. I finally decided on a Biker Scout (love the aesthetic and it seemed a lot more comfortable than a TK). Tusken Raider was a close second but regrets. I was surprised with the costs, but as I am very clumsy and cackhanded, I decided I would need to commission a build rather than attempt this myself. Selling some old trainers that I used to collect (sneakerhead), I was able to pull the trigger and get the build started. All sort parts and boots are from Caramac's Prop Shop - James Forder is a really helpful guy BTW. Gloves are from Wampawear. Blaster from Mando Makes Prop Service - Angus is a great bloke and a member of the garrison nearest to me. Hoping to join North East legion when my kit is sorted! Hard parts are RWA and finished and weathered by Trooper Stuff, bucket is fitted with a Troopacooler fan. I had some issues with the chest armour; there was no way my head, although being average sized, would fit through the shoulder slot (5.5"). I found some info through a Facebook group as to how others have worked past this by detaching one of the shoulder straps and adding a fastening - I didn't want to attempt this myself without advice as previously mentioned, I am very clumsy and didn't want to ruin it before wearing. This is the only adjusting I have had to do so far so quite fortunate. Below are from my test fitting - I need to try some braces for the cummerbund as it slouches at the pouches and I have to fit the holster to the boot, but other than that I am looking forward to my first troop next weekend! Any comments, suggestions very welcome - I am brand new to all of this. Thanks, Kimbo
