  1. I parted from such idealistic dreams years ago. Corporations only only do re-issues from products if there's a financial or reputational gain. Both i don't see here. I read about Mr Poopie recreating some soles, some years ago and the outcome was that they would be too expensive for the effort for making a bussiness out of. But crowprops and IB already have access to manufacturers. Maybe they are interested to upgrade their products...
  2. Thank you, i'm aware of that. There are even more differences between the "two" versions. The HiTec sneaker has an angled corner where the "cuff" meets the lacing rivet and the fabric is more coarse than the Sierras'/Inters'. It also seems to be that the earlier versions had their top lacing loop-rivet fixed with only 1 rivet, as the suspected later versions show 2 rivets. I'd love to see well made repros as well, as the available soles/boots look like gumboots in their clumpiness, lacking details compared to the RotJ boots. Making repros is a huge undertaking(copyright!) and i understand why only the soles where "kinda" reproduced.
  3. Yes i did. I need 1st hand photos which are much more focussed, to show weave pattern, stitching/thread size etc in detail.
  4. Hi, i'm pretty sure at least one of you guys have a pair of the original model Sierra boots at hand. Would someone take a few detailed, sharp photos of each side of the boots and send them to me via dropbox, etc? Especially shots of the stitching/seams and sole up close would be very useful. Also a shot of the inside (without lacing, so details are visible) would be helpful.
  5. Hi folks, i read about people struggling with getting the right material cloth for the C.bund and Codpiece, over and over again, so i'd like to point out to bedsheets. Modern bedsheets use the same material and batting as you're looking for. The material is right, a cotton/polyester mix, (it has that very light kinda blueish-but-not-really shine to it, which comes from the polyester fibre in daylight and which makes it look so different to the cotton material used for the pouches), batting included. If you get the right sheet of course, polyester filling, not down. Opt for the summer version and you should be alright. And even if a bedsheet should be more expensive than fabric and batting, you can go to the store, get a feeling of the material and then headover to the fabric store, with more confidence.
