Happy new year! below is the line by line action taken and additional information requested- pictures of details in next post, I am working on the new full body pics and will try to post them on my facebook profile so they don't get resolution "downsized" like last time. Thanks Measurements that are missing from application and still need to be provided: Shoulder armor elastic- Pic taken Boot toe strip - Pic taken Dropbox straps - Pic taken Belt webbing - Pic taken Corrections, Adjustments, and Notes: Bicep Armor T-bit is covered in glue. Should be replaced or at least refinished and painted. - Excess glue scraped off with exacto-knife and bit repainted Bicep armor should be worn a little higher and moved upward 1/2”-1”. - Repositioned velcro to hold bicep armor up as high as possible. Chest/Back Armor Shoulder bridge covers are 1.5" in length. The CRL calls for 0.5" to 1" bridge covers. They will need to be replaced with the proper sized covers. - Replaced Side strap elastic is ribbed and needs to be replaced with non-ribbed white elastic. - Replaced The rank bars don't appear to be the same thickness -- the bottom bar appears thinner than the others. If you are using 4 rank bars then they all need to be double thick and you need to use the trapezoid in the middle of the horizontal tank line. - Replaced Codpiece Stitched rectangle on the front of the codpiece, where the crotch strap is attached, should not be visible. - Made my own new cod piece Belt Right side dropbox should be moved up about half an inch”. - Adjusted for new pics Rear parachute buckles are inverted. - reinstalled orientated the other direction Detonator End caps should be trimmed down. Recommend taking approx 1/4" off. - trimmed off caps Tube color is silver and should be replaced with grey tubing or painted gray. - painted Boots Closure loop is too large and should be at the top of the boot closure. - Removed loops, made smaller and moved upward Holster Lower right rivet on the holster appears to be missing in the original photos. Please verify that it's been replaced. - All rivets are there, no correction made Blaster Barrel divot needs to be filled in. - Filled, sanded, and repainted Scope-end should be drilled out. Indented rings in scope need to be filled in. - Modified inside of scope end, filled and sanded external grooves, and repainted Indented rings in scope need to be filled in.- Filled, sanded, and repainted -
TB-32173 Lancer Status Request (Approved)

Thanks Chopper! Those are excellent resource pics...... guessing that AN EXTREMELY LOW amount Blasters pass for Lancer. Who would have thought that the Blaster Scope eyepiece would be the hardest part of a Lancer build?!! I accept the mission at hand -

I found a way to bore out the rear of the scope, it is now a few thousandths over 1/2 inch as you can see. Is that a correct depth? The center part is where the pilot extends for the cutter, I can fill that in flush if needed. What about these "stepped circular grooves" listed in the CRL???... Any good eyepiece specific pictures of Lancer approved blasters would be greatly appreciated as the auction pics and screenshots just look bored out to me. Thanks for the list, I only see one thing I should need help with- how to modify the EC-17 rear scope? I have a lot of tools and am very creative.... But don't know how to duplicate what is in the auction house pics...I only bought this particular one because it has "stepped circular grooves" but not good enough- yet ! -

FInally found time to complete my under suit! Here should be the rest of everything... Sent from my moto g 5G - 2024 using Tapatalk -
Noa, I did use the Rust-Oleum Painter's Touch X2 Ultra Cover Gloss Clear (Their # 249117) make sure to read the instructions and use EXACTLY how it says, or it will do strange things- I had to redo a few pieces because I did not follow the instructions correctly.
-
I also have the New Image Prop helmet - I emailed him about paint too, and his reply was "Diamond White". I could not find anything conclusive on that paint and emailed him again twice for clarification, never got a response. I ended up using Rust-oleum painter's touch 2X premium High-Gloss white (their # 331171) as that was the closest I could find in a spray paint - and I tried several. You can see my build progress in the forums, and my Lancer application (on hold) too for color comparison. Good luck!

Working on my new undersuit for Lancer- I made some riding patches to show size/placement/fit before cutting up expensive suede. Do these meet Lancer??.. P.s. I know I have to take in the upper thigh a little when I am doing the mods so the legs fit better. Thanks in advance guys! Sent from my SM-A326U using Tapatalk

After my first year of trooping, and a few tweaks, i am just about ready to "up my game". This will be a little backwards as i an still trying to figure out how to put the suede riding patches on the suit, but here's everything else to critique so my final ensemble pics will be ready to rock. Helmet: New Image Prop Replicas Armor: RWA Creations Cummerbund/cod: Hand made Flight suit: Hand modified Red Kap (coming up) Boots: Modified Caramac prop shop from James Forder in UK - AVOID IF POSSIBLE Flak vest: Modified Caramac prop shop from James Forder in UK - AVOID IF POSSIBLE Gloves: Wampawear EC-17: Hole In The Ground Productions Sent from my SM-A326U using Tapatalk

After my first year of membership and making tweaks throughout multiple troops, I am almost ready to submit for Lancer! I just need to make another flight suit and Flak vest to replace the inferior ones I purchased. Are there any super in-depth tutorials for making sure the thigh patches are the correct shape and size? I have not been able to find any... and real suede is not cheap Thanks in advance.

Now that I know what it took to earn my TKID of 32173, I have to warn everyone about the products from the U.K that I used (unfortunately) He is James Forder on Facebook and I STRONGLY urge everyone to avoid buying his products - soft goods and boots. He claims to have worked for Chef's Creations for 10 years and requested many measurements so everything would be custom fit to me. As everyone can see, nothing was even close and I had to purchase a sewing machine, teach myself how to use it, and heavily modify every single piece he sent me (with the exception of the pouches) The armor I used was RWA from the UK, and i was not impressed with the chest and back armor shoulder straps. they are not "arched" to join with each other so it took a lot of heating and bending and are so close together I cannot have the front and back joined and slide my head through without almost ripping off my ears. I am a small guy with only a size 7 hat too! the shoulder straps are also not "sloped" to match a person's natural shape from neck to shoulder, so that needed work there too. If this should be posted somewhere else more useful to help save someone major upset, let me know as I sure hope that my experience can help someone else in the future!

Good morning all - I got an email from my local garrison - I am approved by them! There are even 2 events this coming week very close to home here in Wisconsin, so i hope to jump right in and make at least one of them. Sound like i will get my official 501st national designation in a couple weeks Thanks again for all your help and encouragement, Have a great weekend!
-
It was another round of tweaking based on both your and the local GML I got hold of. I added velcro the rear of the cummerbund to attach to inside of the back armor, put my belt lower down more on my hips, shortened shoulder bells a bit, shortened flak vest sleeves a good amount to get my bicep armor up higher, and redid the cod piece a bit. I submitted my official application tonight with new pictures and will see what happens... Have a good week! Sent from my SM-A326U using Tapatalk

Happy Easter everyone. Another week gone by and after extensive cummerbund modifications and chest to back armor trial and error I FINALLY got to put everything on for the first time!!! These are the pictures I'm going to submit for 501 basic membership approval. I look forward to your input as to "final" tweaks needed (are they ever done?) And getting out there to troop events in Wisconsin. The first tweak I see needing is a way to attach the back side of the cummerbund to the the back armor so it doesn't lump up like is showing up in the pictures... Thanks again to Chopper and Aradun for all your help!! Sent from my SM-A326U using Tapatalk

Pathfinders Armor Party - Part 1 - The Armor Build!
Bikrtrash replied to BikerScout007's topic in ROTJ Biker Scout HQ
Very nice, the chest/back armor and shoulder bells are my final hurdle to completing my first build- your timing is impeccable!! Thanks to you and the guys that have helped me along so far on my project! -
Another week and some more work done. I removed all the too light paint off the boot soles and repainted- should be a winner now! I also put together the belt with velcro strapping and figured out length for drop box straps, pics show just over an inch hang from belt now. I still have to put the end caps on the detonator, I wanted to make sure it didn't interfere with anything before finalizing. The belt looks a little high in the pics but the top edge is actually half inch below my belly button, and that doesn't leave much room between bottom of chest/back armor and belt for the cummerbund. Sometimes it sucks being a s small person, lol [emoji3] I think I have the chest and back armor shoulder straps tweaked to get a decent look and fit, but it just taped until I am 100% sure this is where it needs to be I also finished the work on back tank, just need to apply decals Looking forward to hearing what you guys think as always, you have been a TREMENDOUS help!!! Yep, the pictures are with front and rear the armor bridge ends overlapped and only taped. Not willing to cut them off until the fit is perfect-ish. As for the boot soles, I found this piece of plastic that I sold over the heel which looks like a close match to CRL - if this is good, I'll have a color match made. What do you think?
