  1. Alright update! Just got the shirt, neck seal, and pants in from imperial boots! Definitely good quality, though the pants feel a little long. That may change once I get the laces for the bottom section. Once I get the belt and gloves I believe I will have all the soft parts needed for the build! We are also in the process of moving so costume building will be on hold for a little while.
  2. The initials are on the front of the pouches. From a distance it's hard to see, but up close they're definitely visible.
  3. Just received my magazine pouch. I'm not super impressed though. It came pretty musty and beat up. The second pouch on the left has some initials written on them as well. Any ideas on how to restore it? Or if it's even worth it?
  4. Just received my Buckles and straps from Mr Paul today.
  5. Hello everyone! So I have a friend who agreed to print me the E-22 blaster. We talked for a minute and he suggested getting this 3d printer for the rest of the armor. https://www.anycubic.com/products/anycubic-chiron-3d-printer?variant=34491197522082 I heard good reviews for it, but I'm unsure. Cost wise it's really good, and the build plate is pretty big (400mmx400mmx450mm,) so I wouldn't have an issue printing most pieces. How viable is 3d printing for armor in comparison to using ABS? I've seen a bunch of WIP that print their armor and they look pretty good. Obviously it would be more work (sanding) but more cost effective especially if I decide to print any other costume pieces in the future. Is there any recommended filament? I know PLA is the standard but I know it can be brittle. The other thing I was curious about was if any vendors will sell individual pieces of the armor kit. I'm concerned that the chest pieces will rub and wear poorly with the 3d print. Thanks for any advice! Josh
  6. Boots just arrived. Definitely glad I went with a 9.5 instead of a 10.5, they're almost too big. I almost feel bad to weather them. But at least I'll get to wear them around first to break them in.
  7. I'm starting this thread to document and track my work on the shoretrooper costume. Soft parts: Boots: orca bay Brecon Havana (received) Shirt/neck seal: Imperial boots (received) Pants: Imperial boots (received) Gloves: endor finders Belt: Imperial boots Ammo pouch: Etsy (received) Straps/helmet pads: I'm unsure on this one. Any suggestions? Hard parts: Buckles and Straps: Mr Paul (received) Armor: not 100 percent yet, once I get the quote from Imperial surplus that'll determine it. But unless it's outrageously expensive that is option I will want to go with. Helmet: I could use a suggestion here. I don't want to scimp on quality or accuracy. I was thinking the Sean fields one. I will update as I get the various pieces. Advice is always appreciated. Thanks!
  8. So it would probably be a safe assumption to order the 9 1/2 size if I normally wear 10s?
