  1. Hello all, It has been some time since my last check-in. Thanks for all of the helpful advice that has been given. I have been flat out with meeting the demands of life and all that. I have had some progress, however. I managed to score the last set of worker-boots on the shelves in K-Mart that had the uniform colour of the sole, rather than the two-tone soles that have taken over. I have placed an order with Imperial Boots for my undersuit (with suede) and gloves. I am deferring any further manual work on this until: 1) Undersuit arrives. No point in doing any armour building without it. 2) Uni is finished in November. I'll post some photos of what I have gathered so far once the gear arrives from Imperial Boots. Until then.
  2. Ah yes. I remember trying to mimic the static display iron man on that troop. Have you seen Chris' (CTPG)TB armour yet? That boy is certainly churning out some great stuff! Have you been involved in DIY TB boot-making lately? Sent from my SM-G950U1 using Tapatalk
  3. Thanks. I've heard of the Altmann bucket but was unaware that he did the full armour. It's about time we had some quality hard-armour producers here. Long overdue. Sent from my SM-G950U1 using Tapatalk
  4. Lol. My cover has been blown! Hey MJ. Don't go getting all TB-smug on me now. Yes, I am finally committing to it. I plan to make my own boots if the materials are locally available to pass CRL/approval. Is that me bombing your profile thumbnail pic?? What year was that? Was it the state library troop? 5. I must look up this MJ. Sounds like the one to talk to. Sent from my SM-G950U1 using Tapatalk
  6. Hey troops, New to this detachment. Nearly 10 years of procrastination has come to an end. I've recently scored a set of ROTJ scout armour from CTPG. This is our first set of locally manufactured armour(to my knowledge) but I've only been in the Legion for 13 years! I am getting the standard soft parts from Imperial boots and intend to make my own riding boots. Sidearm pistol has been sourced with another local guy( thanks Martin!) I've got some uni work to knock out before I can dedicate time and attention to the build so I won't be active on here until I commence the build, which may be a measure of months. I will undoubtably be plaguing ppl with questions once I start! Lol I just wanted to introduce myself for now and check out the detachment forums etc. Cheers, Sean (Hamish on 501st main forums- TK-6673)
