  1. Sorry to hear this, but it's completely understandable to be honest, it's hard work in costume, there's been many times I've been pouring with sweat wondering why I do it to myself I wish you all the best for your comfortable future Sent from my 21091116UC using Tapatalk
  2. I've just checked on his Facebook page,it seems like he has stopped answering people's emails a long time ago and lots of people are still waiting for their orders..make of that what you will. Sent from my 21091116UC using Tapatalk
  3. https://forum.501stpathfinders.com/topic/25668-brooklyn-7-mary-4%E2%80%99s-jacket-wip/ For the ribbing you can use piping cord sewn into place It should be easy enough to find in haberdashery or online , unfortunately I can't remember what width was suitable, sorry. 4. I'm no expert but it does make me wonder, why they say it's normal for the stitching to bleed colour into the leather,do they sew them with everything damp or something??I've never bought anything where the stitches have effected the colour of the fabric!
  5. Correct , I did have to go through a few different faux leather materials, until I found one that was both durable and flexible,it's hard to judge from pictures sometimes. Sent from my 21091116UC using Tapatalk
  6. https://ukfabricsonline.com/mock-eyelet-sports-fabric I used this material in black ,you will have to find somewhere in your country that sells it ,but it's not a hard to find fabric.
  7. Posting here instead of on your WIP, sorry about that 😬 For reference this is my jacket that I had made and the bottom half is made of breathable mesh material and has wicking material inside.
  8. Hello [emoji16] No ,it's not normal for them to have any kind of coloured tinge to the gloves,I'd contact endor finders,if it was me. The jacket is the thing that causes the most problems,if I were you, I'd start making plans on who will be making it as a lot of people have found it hard to find a seamstress to make one, either way it will take some time to source the correct materials and get everything organised. Everyone on here will help as much as they can , they are a good bunch [emoji6] Sent from my 21091116UC using Tapatalk
  9. Also there's a few Facebook patrol trooper pages https://facebook.com/groups/167298230641202/ https://facebook.com/groups/patroltrooperfam/ It's probably worth posting there too, although they aren't very busy 😕
  10. It might be worth posting on Walt's Facebook page, in the hopes that people who have purchased the costume could give you a idea?
  11. A word of advice! I've seen many cases of rustoleum paint reacting with other rustoleum paints,so check that they play nice with each other before laying them down on your helmet! It's going to take a good few layers of paint, just remember to apply thin coats and build them up.. patience is key Sent from my 21091116UC using Tapatalk
  12. I remember seeing a post,a good few months ago, where he stated he was concentrating more on gun electronics , however this doesn't excuse not fulfilling previous speaker orders! Sent from my 21091116UC using Tapatalk
  13. Wow that was quick work! Looks amazing, good job!! Sent from my 21091116UC using Tapatalk
  14. To be honest, I was a bit surprised that Mr poopie hadn't split the 2 files up , to be available separately, although I realise the patrol trooper market probably consists of about 15 people worldwide [emoji23][emoji6] Sent from my 21091116UC using Tapatalk
  15. I did find those, but unless I missed something, they are only available when bought as a 'upgrade' for the scout trooper costume into a fallen order scout,so there's lots of pieces in the pack, that don't apply to a patrol trooper. Sent from my 21091116UC using Tapatalk
  16. For future reference to anyone interested in making a pauldron,a sewing template can be found here https://www.whitearmor.net/forum/topic/16758-shoulder-pauldron-templates/ Sent from my 21091116UC using Tapatalk
  17. Ha ha fair enough ,I just thought seeing as it would need submitting for approval that it'd need to be 'correct' to be approved , but you do have a point about head movement,I'm intrigued if a pauldron makes movement any worse...probably not though[emoji23] Also I've checking on the availablity of printable designs for the riot baton and shield and have found a riot baton( paid design ) https://cults3d.com/en/3d-model/various/star-wars-jedi-fallen-order-scout-trooper-energy-electro-baton would this be suitable?if not could you point me to a previously approved file? And a free shield here https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:6591471 Although this is missing the imperial insignia seen in the game, would it be needed ? Although adding the insignia should be easy enough to add in prusa slicer! Sorry for the questions but seeing as the 501st loves details,I thought I'd ask [emoji6] Sent from my 21091116UC using Tapatalk
  18. Quick question about the pauldron,is it a specific shape to the character, jfo scout and now the patrol trooper,or is it a general one used by multiple different trooper types ie tk's etc etc Excuse my ignorance, it's a subject I've never looked into before!
  19. Looks like I'll be on the hunt to find a orange pauldron soon!
  20. Ok, you've twisted my arm ,I'll print it! I've just seen the new video on Facebook,I did wonder if there's a file for the riot baton also!
  21. I've just visited the specialist shop near me and unfortunately it wasn't something they were familiar with However I'm not giving up just yet,so I'll contact the company above, along with throwing the question out on to the net to see if the hive mind will be able give us a answer!
  22. For reference this is the shape of the teeth, although the gap between them is far wider on the picture than on the armour! Also the teeth are far more pronounced in the picture than IRL. The picture was taken from here https://simplybearings.co.uk/shop/Belts-Toothed-Belts-Wedge-Tooth-Profile-H-Profile-Wedge-Toothed-Belts-12.7mm-(1/2-inch)-Pitch/c4601_5046_5064_5068/index.html?selection=Synchronous+Toothed+Timing+Belts
  23. I got round to measuring the strapping yesterday and it's as follows Width of strap = 45mm / 4.5.cm / 1.79 inches Length of strap =230mm / 23 cm / 9.05 inches Height of tooth = 4.5mm / 0.45cm / 0.177 inches Gap between each tooth= 5mm / 0.5cm / 0.196 inches ( from edge to edge ) or 10mm / 1cm / 0.393 inches when measuring from the centre of one tooth to another I believe I have found some that may fit the bill, although they are slightly narrower in belt width and slightly less tall , only 2mm by though! I have noticed that the belt needed trimming down to fit into buckle recess, which is 40mm on mine,so a smaller width belt would probably be a better fit 🤷‍♂️ I will visit a local specialist shop in the next few days and see if they can narrow it down ,as my only concern now ,which dart pointed out, is the belt being reinforced. Thank you very much for replying Mr poopie, without me having to contact you 😂
  24. I've just had a thought,I imagine that each armour maker / designer ( Mr poopie,Walt's and armour prop shop) may have designed the opening / hole that the straps fit into, slightly differently to each other ,in both height and width. So for anyone reading this in the future,my findings are for the prop shop armour,I will contact Mr poopie and ask if he will so kind as to give the measurements for his design on this thread, for future reference. If anyone reading this who has Walt's armour, please feel free to add measurements for it,so it can be used by others when needed, thank you 🙏
  25. After your suggestion,I've done a little more digging and found out what type it is,It's a wedge tooth profile .. unfortunately I still haven't got round to measuring the current straps , I'll do that soon ,so I can identify exactly what specification it is.
