  1. Thanks! I'm looking to get that helmet file and didn't want to print the whole thing only to discover I needed to rescale it.
  2. Did you have to do any scaling on the helmet, or is it pretty good sized for most? (Asking because I wear a 7 5/8" fitted hat)
  3. I finally got the ABS to print correctly. I had the print speed too high. Once I slowed it down a little, it was fantastic. Thanks for all the help everyone! I'm hoping that now I can start printing the helmet!!!
  4. Still working on getting it to print correctly, but had a question. Is PLA a reasonable option? I'm a lot more familiar printing objects with it. I ask because if I continue to have issues with the ABS I'd like to switch merely to avoid complete frustration. Thanks for your input!
  5. The snout. This is my first time running anything with ABS, so I wanted to start a small piece first.
  6. Tried Brim...I'll try a raft now.
  7. I think it's at 10%
  8. Let me know if the image quality needs to be adjusted. My computer and phone both decided not to cooperate.
  9. So I started printing my helmet, and I'm getting this funky texturing on the bottom of everything. I'm using ABS. Anyone have any suggestions on how I get rid of this? Is my extruder too hot, too cold? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
  10. I'll look into it. The current nozzle is 0.4mm.
  11. I'm using a Robo R2.
  12. Hey there! I'm excited to follow your build. I'm planning on doing a 3D print myself, but most likely won't get started until later this spring or early summer (elementary school principal and high school baseball coach). I haven't really done any of this before, so I'm interested to see your progress. Also if you have any other threads or references I might use to help me better understand what I will be doing, that would be greatly appreciated.
