  1. Thank you. I tried it and it held better than I thought it would
  2. Hey guys, I bought clips similar to those. How are you attaching them to the thermal detonator? I can fit my rivet gun at the bottom hole, but not the top hole (if that makes sense)
  3. Hey Guys, I have another question for you. Is there an acceptable amount of ridge in the top of the helmet? I have been sanding and sanding and I fear I'm going to sand through the helmet. I'll keep going if I need to, but I don't want to do more than is needed if this is acceptable as is. Thanks for your help
  4. Awesome. Thank you guys. I wasn't sure if there was a specific white. I have those paints, so I'm good :)
  5. Which brand of paint and primer are best for these helmets?
  6. Hey Everybody, I am attempting my first biker scout kit. I have built a few TK's, so I'm not afraid of cutting plastic With that said, this is all new territory for me. I will have a ton of questions as I keep building. So far, I have rough cut most of my pieces and will work on sanding until my Devcon plastic weld shows up. My first question is, How much do I trim out the eye area. I cut off the flashing, but it still seems a little uneven. I don't want to trim/sand too much if its supposed to be a little crooked. My next questions is about the chest armor. I see that people are using nylon strapping. Is there a parts list somewhere? Where I can get the right width and material? Also, how are people attaching the webbing? I used E6000 and snaps for my TKs on pretty much the whole build. I'd like to use what everybody is using on this one. Thanks for your help! Tom
  7. Thank you for starting this thread. I'm building a scout for my son and I have no idea what I am doing (I've built 3 TKs, so that I can do). Your under suit is exactly what my son has, so I will do what you are doing. Did you sew up the front pockets? There are so many little things to consider in this build. I look forward to following your progress. Thanks Tom
