  1. Got the Sarah Beige down on these pieces today. Need to let them cure for several days before weathering and painting the other colors.
  2. I got the base coat on some Dark Walnut. Going to let this dry for a couple days. Then start on the Montana Gold paints.
  3. Also received my boots from Arsmoor. They are so nice. Time to trash them.
  4. Alright I finished prep, fit up, some mods and upgrades. Sanded all the armor. Ready to paint.
  5. Thanks good to know I will rework it a bit I still have some wash left in a bottle.
  6. Installed the visor finally. I broke the first one heating it up. So I picked up a curved motorcycle helmet visor and cut it down. Installed it with some Chicago screws and hot glued the edges. Just need the chin cup and straps now.
  7. Got the weathering done. Used some sandpaper to make some skuff marks. Used some acrylic paints. Black, burnt umber, charcoal mixed with some windex. Also used a 3M pad to tone some areas back. 1st pic is before weathering and some of the supplies.
  8. Yes sir I still have to paint those eyebags or teardrops black. As for the two black recesses they are there. Helmet is tilted a bit so you can't see them. I will update a back pic so they show. Thanks.
  9. Finished all the black details. And airbrushed the emblem on the visor. Next onto the weathering.
  10. Made a color mix for the emblem. A Humbrol red and Orange. Looks pretty close. Per Mr. Paul it's a Orange. Spicy Orange.
  11. Installed the snout and heatsinks. Painted some of the black areas. Glued on the visor. Going to let the clamps set for 24 hours.
  12. Applied some masking tape and some Humbrol masking fluid for some damage areas. And sprayed the Montana Gold Sahara Beige.
  13. All right I sprayed the dark brown layer as per Mr. Paul's Shore Trooper build. He's had found out that the original casts were a brown resin. which is visible showing underneath the Beige in a lot of the reference pictures. He used Halfords Ford Rio Brown. I used a Rustoleum Satin Espresso. Which is a newly exact match.
  14. So was unhappy with the first primer coats. I sanded the helmet down and sprayed a different primer. So much better.
  15. Finally got the prep and sanding done. Spayed on the primer layer.
