  1. Yes Sir! Roger that. Avoid drama, and kill Ewoks!
  2. looked ok to me. i think most people are used to seeing the toys, or life size 501st bikes. all of which usually have much longer forks than the screen used ones did. i think the endor speeders are about 10ft?
  3. at least my armor is cannon now...... so there is that. and the light colored bikes were pretty cool.
  4. all true, but the obviously did is on purpose. even one of the TK's was missing his detonator. maybe they TB's were just gangsta! trust me. nothing happens in lucasfilm/disney without a TON of oversight, and justification. i have been down that road many times over the last couple decades.
  5. honestly, knowing what i know about the production, it has to have been a deliberate attempt at making them look, "post empire". maybe not what we all wanted, but they wanted to show the general decay, and lack of standards among individual leadership commands. when Moff Gideon's troops showed up, they were spic and span compared to that of Werner Herzog's troops. do they look like crap? YUP! but so do his storm troopers.
  6. that is pretty slick!! im thinking about doing something similar. did you airbrush this? looks like some dry brushing as well.
  7. oh dear... looking at this hurts my brain!
  8. i could not be more jealous!
  9. im not sure i would have to take it apart too much. the way it is manufactured an engineered would be different than the real costume anyway. i would like to get it down to the under suit if possible to see what further details can be gleaned.
  10. i can. i have glue. ill rebuild him, like the 6 million dollar man. they really need to adjust for inflation with that guy.......
  11. i can make that happen. im just down the street in encino.
  12. i have the hot toys figure on order, and should be arriving soon. ill get more photos to add to the effort. ill strip it down to get some more detailed shots as well.
  13. very nice overview. may I ask how much you paid for the trimmed kit? Sent from my SM-G960U using Tapatalk
  14. awesome. thanks! Sent from my SM-G960U using Tapatalk
  15. that looks great! I was a little surprised to see the wing nuts. it did not look like something I wanted next to my head. Sent from my SM-G960U using Tapatalk
  16. great advice. the thought of adding a bend did not occur to me. I'll try that. I'll probably chuck it up in the lathe first and try to add a slight dimple to the middle and round the edges a touch. I'll make some washers as well. thanks so much!! Sent from my SM-G960U using Tapatalk
  17. this is the bolt it came with. I did cut a square hole in the visor. i have not tried to sink them in deeper, but they can go in a lot more. the helmet is from moncal. just a little gun shy about cracking my visor. I may end up turning some new disks in the end. just wanna make sure I'm not screwing up too bad. Sent from my SM-G960U using Tapatalk
  18. i need a little advice on these helmet bolts. im a little confused about how the hinge on the faceplate should work. ideally when making a hinge, obviously the to bolts should be parallel, but that wont allow them to sit flush. if they are tilted to match the helmet surface, it wont open without stressing the face. how do i resolve this? seems like a no brainer, but i dont want to break it! https://imgur.com/mtTINpe https://imgur.com/sgDbd4C
  19. that is truly amazing. great job!
  20. supposedly disney imposed an in stock only order on anovos last year, but they still seem to be doing pre-orders. i have no doubts that most of the older stuff people ordered will never see the light of day. apparently anovos owed one factory so much money they never ended up shipping several items. they waited so long the factory closed, and all the manufactured goods ended up in shipping container some where in china lost to the ages. its understandable that there be some delays. coming from the manufacturing world, poop happens. with them on the other hand, there was such intense micromanagement that nothing ever progressed. too many cooks in the kitchen, and most of them had no clue. most of everyone i knew there quit over the last 2 years. one of my buddies was still showing up to an empty building every day until a few months ago, but it was too depressing for him so he quit. they had such a great license, and really could have done some amazing things with it, its a shame it was so mismanaged.
  21. ha! well for one, i really dont know how they plan on making this. they owe so many factories money. who is manufacturing it? and if they do some how make it, how willl they get it to customers? they shuttered the warehouse. its just a ghost town. im not sure they even have any employees. so much of their abandoned merch is circulating FB market place from Chinese retailers trying to recover some of their lost money. anyway. we can gossip in person some time. ....
  22. i used to freelance for anovos, and have a few buddies that used to work there. oh the things i could tell you......... ... ....
