Yup, it's a WTF top. If I can get a replacement from them, I shouldn't have any issues covering the hole. I hope. That don Jarr one looks like a very good option, though. EKnight

Not heavily glued down at all. I definitely didn't use enough, so removing it shouldn't be too hard, assuming the rivets don't put up too much of a fuss. Only two or three of them. I had thought about making an indent in and putting in a new bit, but as you pointed out, it's going to remain a weak point. Where would you consider the best place to get a replacement greebling? EKnight

So, my tank top greebling broke. Not sure how either. Either from sitting on my couch in a bad way, or from storing it the wrong way. Either way, I cannot find the missing part, and am unsure how to go about fixing/ replacing it. Suggestions?

Yay! I have now been approved into the 501st Badlands Garrison! So excited! At some point, I do want to size down those pouches, as well as perhaps make the belt and cummerbund less tight. They fit a lot more snug that when i first made them. Pretty sure it's the undersuit as I didn't have that at the beginning, and not me gaining weight. I may also do a new pair of boots. These ones are feeling a bit tight already. Maybe I am gaining weight.... EKnight

Attaching headband in helmet
Elephant Knight replied to Elephant Knight's topic in ROTJ Biker Scout Armor/Helmet
Yeah, It was beginning to become a nightmare trying to get it in. I should have paid a little more attention when I bought that helmet. I will definitely get one that's close to what you are using. -
Attaching headband in helmet
Elephant Knight replied to Elephant Knight's topic in ROTJ Biker Scout Armor/Helmet
The headband I have looks nothing like the one pictured above. I took it out of a hard hat that I found at Home Depot. after fiddling around with it a bit last night, I realized that the headband I have is complete garbage. I think I'll just buy one from the vendor selling them. It's a bit more pricey than the hard hat I got, but it should work. That picture will help a lot. I never even thought to rivet it, and looking at the helmet and your picture, I can see where the rivets can go. Thanks for the help! EKnight -
Attaching headband in helmet

I'm thinking some sort of glue is the way to go, but not sure what is the best option for that. Gorilla glue? EKnight -
Attaching headband in helmet
Elephant Knight replied to Elephant Knight's topic in ROTJ Biker Scout Armor/Helmet
Couldn't say. 2nd hand helmet, that was mostly done except for the padding and stuff inside. I was told it was a 3D printed helmet, though. -
Hey all, How do people go about attaching hardhat headbands into their helmets? Anyone got any pictures of their helmets they would like to share? I got a helmet, I got a headband, but I have no idea what to do next. EKnight

Attatching the suede butt flap
Elephant Knight replied to Elephant Knight's topic in ROTJ Biker Scout Soft Parts
Another question concerning the buttflap. If there is no visible stitching, how does one keep the edges from fraying? EKnight -
Just waiting for my balaclava to come in the mail now. EKnight
-
So if I understand everything that I have come across, when sewing on the butt flap, it is only across the top. It's not attached to the fightsuit anywhere else? it just hangs there (With the on strap for the cod piece holding it on? Just want some clarification before I go to far with this (Can't do it until the weekend anyways, my sister has my suede) EKnight

But if I fill it with foam, then I can't use them.. I'm a fan of having pockets. Hmm Yeah, I'm not a huge guy, standing at 5'7" I'll see if I can trim it a bit more. Looks like the shoulder bells the bottom should be flush with the one bit of the chest bit. Can't believe I didn't clue into that before. Definitely going to have to rework that bund a bit then. I had no idea the belt was supposed to be closed with Velcro. I had understood that one uses the clips. Thanks a lot for the tips! EKnight

My armour build is, well, the armour parts I'm thinking are pretty much done, but let's see what you all have to say. A few tweaks have been made since these pictures have been taken, -Shoulder bells have been shortened by an inch or so -Grey rectangle has been painted -Curved stitching on the cod piece. Currently waiting for my replacement rank bar stripes to arrive. Things I want feedback on: The person in the 501st who I am in contact with says the cummerbund stipes need to be darker... A second opinion please? Pouches. What's a good way to make them more stiff? I'll try to get new, updated pictures tonight. We shall all ignore the under suit. I'm currently just wearing a turtleneck and black pants. Move about your business. EKnight

I do hear a lot of people mention the Under Armour one (A really fitting brand name, eh?) but for now, I'll see how this cheap one works out. Money is a bit tight right now. I bet i'll upgrade at some point. EKnight
-
Cool, thanks. I went ahead and bought my cheap one. Maybe someday I'll upgrade, but this ought to suit me just fine for now.

I went with the painting route. It made the most sense to me. EKnight

What's a good balaclava option? Is it even needed if you do the under suit right? I'm thinking of getting this, just because it's so cheap. https://www.amazon.ca/NewNow-Candy-Football-Helmet-Balaclava/dp/B00F4SEYKU/ref=sr_1_16?dchild=1&keywords=balaclava&qid=1581379533&sr=8-16 EKnight

Thanks. My kit had them, but they either went missing or I accidentally threw them out. Thanks for the heads up on where to buy new ones! EKnight

Thanks for the response. I got another concerning rank bars. What's the best/easiest/most common way of doing them? EKnight
-
Hey all, just doing the last few things to get me approved for 501st membership! Just want to double check, the rank bars are on your right side, correct? It looks that way to me, but I've seen a couple places where it looks to be on the left side (cough https://www.studiocreations.com/howto/bikerscout/bikerscout-ilmpicts.html cough) As well, the little rectangle on the chest should be painted black? I was told black, but I swear it looks grey in a lot of pictures. Thanks in advance! EKnight

Wampa wear gloves
Elephant Knight replied to Saintjimmycosplay's topic in ROTJ Biker Scout Soft Parts
I bought a pair of gloves form them and don't regret it! Really comfortable and great looking! EKnight -
Best advice yet. I'll see what I can do, thanks! EKnight

I guess I'm a little short for a stormtrooper, hehe. Thanks for the opinions, regardless.

Wondering if my belt is sitting to high, and/or is my chest armour sitting too low? I'm a fairly small guy, so the gap between the two should be a bit small, but what I have here seems a bit too small.
