Quick update time. So I’ve decided to go for a completely new material to me PlaX3. It’s stronger then normal pla and easier to use then PETG and ABS. Good upto 95*c. it’s desinged for industrial use, strength supposedly on par with ABS it’s good for speeds over 120mm s not that I want to even attempt that on my ender 3. Main selling point was the no need for a heated bed on for 12 hours plus per print and my current settings for pla will work just find. Order arriving tomorow so lets see.

Hi all, So I joined up and I want to share my journey for my shoretrooper build. I have never attempted anything like this before, Im hopping to get it to a stage where it can be approved, really excited. Im going to mostly use Sean Fields files that he has kindly shared online. Im just in the planning stage at the moment. I need to figure out the best way to resize and parts to fit me and my filament of choice. Im considering PLA, PETG or PLA with some sort of backing like resin, glass fiber etc. I have allot of PLA to hand so I am leaning to using that if possible. Any help along the way would be really appreciated. Thank you Theo
