TB-23079 Lancer Deployment Request.
Ewan_Giles09 replied to Ewan_Giles09's topic in Lancer Deployment Request
Hi all, ok so here goes, by section: (Once again thanks for your review and comments, hopefully I can address these slowly but surely) General Feedback: "Also, if possible, it would be very helpful for our review if you could please link to higher resolution versions of your photos. Some details, such as your suede patches and flap, are very difficult to see with the current resolution photos." Answer: May I please ask what you need higher resolution photos of? Is it just the suede patches and flaps or are there other parts of the costume I need to take more snaps of? I only have my phone camera which is what I used so if I need to take higher res I'll need to maybe borrow an SLR or something. Flight SuitFeedback: "It appears that your rear flap is approximately, 1.5" - 2" on the bottom. However, as noted above, it is very difficult to see the flap clearly, along with your suede riding patches. Before trimming anything, it would be very helpful if you could provide higher resolution images." Answer: Based on your reply to my above question I'll see what I can do to get clearer images. Can you please clarify the feedback point however, are you saying the flap is too long or too short? Thanks. Upper Arm Armour Feedback: "Can you please provide a detail photo of the greeblies on your bicep armor? It appears that you have two right side bicep armor greeblies installed in your bicep armor, but we'd like to verify with detail images. If this is the case, after seeing a close up image, then you will need to get in touch with Chef for the proper left bicep greeblie." Answer: You are correct, I do have two right hand greeblies and I will be addressing this carefully to rectify. Cumberbund Feedback: "Your bund appears to be several inches too long on you vertically. Ideally it should end just about on top of the front of your belt, which, for most scouts tends to be approximately 9". your belt placement in your front photo, actually looks good, so you can work from there." Answer: My bund is indeed about 1.5 to 2 inches too long, I can only blame this probably on my poor quality measurements supplied to Chef when I ordered the build. So the belt is currently velcro'd level over the bottom of the bund to achieve the correct positioning of the belt on my waist, but yes the belt is over the bottom of the bund and fastened there with velcro so it doesn't move when I'm kitted up. I don't even know how to get this addressed in terms of modifying the bund so will probably have to invest in a new bund to address this point. 😢 Belt and Detonator Feedback: "Please make sure your drop boxes are centered on the sides of your legs. Also please center the parachute buckles on your drop box webbing." Answer: This I assume is just positioning and I will address when I kit up again, for both the placement of the drop boxes and the centering of the buckles. Knee Armour & Boots Feedback: "Your knee armor is hanging over the tops of your boots. Are you able to raise them, so they're positioned similarly to the CRL model? If you have them loose, it might help to sew some velcro on the knees of your flight suit to help keep them in place (this is also generally useful for bicep and forearm armor as well)." Answer: I already have velcro on my knees and on the inside of the knee armour, this suit is a velcro enthusiast's paradise or nightmare, depending on how much you like velcro! The boots are probably too tall for my legs, (again I guess my bad on measurements when ordering), so unfortunately the boots come up to just below my knee where the armour piece naturally rests. My only options are replace boots (booo!!) or velcro knee parts a bit higher and hope it doesn't look too odd. 🤔 Well that's it, please can you let me know your thoughts kind Lancer collective. Please also let me know what photos you want me to take again. My thanks and best regards to all. Mike. -

Good morning all! Many thanks for getting back to me on this topic and also for the great feedback. I am sorry I've not been able to reply sooner but as usual work is keeping me fairly busy. I do have some specific questions I need to ask as part of my review of the feedback and I will try to get these all ready and posted here today. I also have some action items that I will list that I've identified from your comments. Once again sorry for the delay in replying and thanks for your invaluable feedback and your kind consideration. Best, Mike. Sent from my SM-G950F using Tapatalk -
Good evening all, Please find below my photos and link to the link to my Lancer WIP with a multitude of photos showing I hope all needed criteria for Lancer rank. (I've noticed that a lot of Lancer rank requests seem to include these photos in the actual request,... Oops lol, hope this isn't an issue). Here below are the pics for clearance: Sent from my SM-G950F using Tapatalk

Sorry gents, I'll have to take more pics this coming week, took some at the troop today but like the numpty I am I forgot to take pics with my arms raised... Doh! I'm also not happy with the bunching of the boiler suit above the elastic straps around my thighs and at the back my bund was showing by about an inch and a half under the belt and TD. SO... As I said I'll need to take more and use other ones. Yeah yeah I know, I'm a perfectionist lol. Apologies for the delay in getting the Lancer application in. Have a great weekend all. Mike. Hi mate, sorry didn't reply sooner. I have large hands so went for the large sized gloves. They are very comfy and I do like them a lot tbh. I'm glad there's a couple of us more 'reasonably' sized scouts about lol, those bigger ones look less authentic LOL! Oh no shots fired!!! I jest of course. Hi, here are some photos of me in costume. There are more if needed but here's a small selection. I hope these are sufficient. First photo, I'm third Scout in from the left with the DLT-20. (Next to the first Snowie). Second photo, I'm the Scout next to the M in MCM with the DLT-20. The third & fourth photos are of me but have been photoshopped and the rest are photos of me at an event in August. Thanks. Sent from my SM-G950F using Tapatalk -

Hi folks, ok it's been a ridiculous amount of time that I've taken for get around to this and I shall be castigating myself severely, never fear! XD However, here we are and I apologise in advance for the sheet avalanche of photos I'm about to unleash. There are 58 or so in total. I'm thankful for all your help and look forward to hearing back from you. I've basically taken a photo per criteria based on what's in the CRL. Thanks! -
Hi mate, glad yours has come through looking correct. If mine had arrived like that at the start then apart from the scary handle everything else would have been fine! Lol. Ps: chocolats Godiva j'espere. [emoji106] Sent from my SM-G950F using Tapatalk

My replacement DLT-20A, the one I eventually cleared, is from Mando Mercs and I can quite honestly say it's absolutely superbe. 3D printed, weathered also, deceptively light!! Abso'bloody'lutely brilliant! Can't recommend him enough. It's the one in the attached photo. Sent from my SM-G950F using Tapatalk

Sorry gents, work had been manic these past few weeks, I've not had the chance to take the pics and throw them up on here. I am actually doing some shoring up / additional work on the costume myself at the moment so I will complete that then look for the pics to post. What is the best format to upload them in? Is Flickr any good? Thanks. -
Hi folks, Having cleared recently and started my Biker Tour of Duty / Pathfinder journey, I'm hoping that I have started upon my Lancer build naturally. I've been checking the Scout CRL and it's latest version under this link: http://databank.501st.com/databank/Costuming:TB_Scout_trooper I believe that my build is at least part of the way there. Would it be possible for one of you kind armourers and kind folks to advise me further. I can throw up my clearance pics plus others as needed. Hope to hear from you soon. Cheers, Mike.

Do we have any prop builders who make these? Any recommendations? Or can I find this on in the cantena area of the forum? Ta. Sent from my SM-G950F using Tapatalk -
