Thanks! I went to auto parts store and found a belt I’m going to use. Filled and primed all my belt parts. For the baton holder do I need to trim off the bottom section I’m marking with my fingers? It seems wrong when I look at the CRL?

I assume I was missing an insert from the thermal detonator. Walt’s kit has some weird choices. I made some inserts out of Petg to fill the holes so I don’t have to waste a ton of filler. while I was at it I made some replacement buttons. The resin ones that came with the kit needed extra work and this saves me time. This did not come with the belt material for the right side. Have to figure that out. Next up is the belt boxes. Have mounting boxes on the printer now to make them all nice and uniform.

Here is what the gloves ended up looking like after I used the leather paint on them. Very happy with how it turned out. I can touch them up if need be since the pens came two to a pack. This was the result after using up one leather paint pen.
  4. I got mine off Etsy. Little expensive but what isn’t in this hobby. https://www.etsy.com/listing/517172044/rogue-one-death-trooper-belt-webbing-and?transaction_id=4309073652&ref=proteus_transaction_link&utm_content=proteus_transaction_link&campaign_label=buyer_out_for_delivery_notification_v2&utm_source=transactional&utm_campaign=buyer_out_for_delivery_notification_v2_010170_1311246042376_0_0&utm_medium=email&email_sent=1730984956&euid=4j_UFBet7mqN5uX-w3c8FYJkGibz&eaid=1075655346899&x_eaid=c14ea65c94

Putting together a shopping list. Do these check out for the paint? Testors 1138 grey, and 1139 semi gloss black. What is the rubber brow material for this on the helmet? Is there a particular pattern of mesh I need to get at Home Depot for the teeth cutouts?

Got my kit from Walt’s today. It’s go time. Working on the helmet first. I’m gonna have a buddy who paints cars paint it for me. Figured this will be the hardest part to complete outside the jacket.
  7. I was at Kohls the other day and found an Adidas pullover on sale for $7. I’m going to use that for my pattern. It fits me like a glove. I’m just waiting for my fabric to come in. Then I guess it’s go time. Good luck, finding someone to make my jacket was too hard where I live.

I got my gloves all squared away with white leather paint. Next time I get my stuff out I’ll take some pictures. Still waiting on my kit from Walt’s. It’s been almost 7 months since I ordered it. I’m getting impatient lol. In hindsight I probably should have just bought a larger 3D printer and files for what I paid. Also have to get my pants taken in, lost another 25 pounds. Starting on my jacket this week. Just going to make it myself.

I asked for an exchange. This is the reply I got. I asked if there was anything I could do on my end and it’s been a days with no reply. I’ll probably buy some leather paint and air brush any areas I need to fix. Terrance, Please make sure you’ve read the full product description for the gloves you purchased. It is in fact normal. 12. Oh, this is the same material a lot of my hockey jerseys were made of when I played in high school. This should be rather easy to find. Thank you. I assume the top portion is just a pleather of some kind?
  13. Thanks for the look at your jacket. What did you use for that bottom portion like a dry fit material or cotton?

I reached out to them, see what they will have to say. It's kind of a bummer considering how much they cost. As for the jacket, I may just end up giving it a go myself with the help of my wife. I was thinking I might just buy a pull over that fits really nice on me and take it apart and use that as a pattern. While the arms look the most daunting I think we can handle it if we find the right materials and take our time. I've already gotten some good help in the soft parts forum for it.

Got my pants from Uniform Warehouse and my boots from Amazon. I have to get the pants tailored. The are pillowing more than I would like. Just got my boots today, didn't want to get the pants tailored until I had my boots to properly do the length and stirrup at the bottom. Are the boots OK? These were the best option I could find. They fit pretty well, I just need to work them in. Next up was starting on my belt boxes. I started out by printing my belt boxes in PETG. Figured that would hold their shape really nice and if I ever wanted to put something in them I could. I got the pattern from the forums here. Transferred it to my leather and wrapped the 3D printed boxes and glued everythign in place. The snaps are functional. I haven't attached anything to the belt yet. I want to get my armor first and have that fitted. https://drive.google.com/file/d/1xPFX8ftQCdXOArN6rMpCrQQMusVzxXnP/view?usp=drive_link https://drive.google.com/file/d/1n96etLIL_sCHRJII_5dplPeR5c8kBIc5/view?usp=drive_link https://drive.google.com/file/d/1y4kTVZFplcy_zBGDSVkswAvwAkN9Rwo-/view?usp=drive_link https://drive.google.com/file/d/1KvJ6fXz-4sPVIxeZ9t1LinDnC56nFOdi/view?usp=drive_link https://drive.google.com/file/d/1BwURoBPhHOiQdSVwRH7FtCMUe9-Izfs3/view?usp=drive_link I have a ton of extra leather left over. Not sure what I'll do with it.
  17. Ordered a kit from Walt's and while I wait I started on the soft parts. Got my boots, belt, gloves and pants. Still looking for someone to make me the jacket. But I feel like I got a lot of time. Last time I checked in with Walt he had a lot of other costumes he was pulling plastic for before he got to the Patrol Troopers. Got my gloves from Endor Finders as it's been suggested here. Got a question though. They have some red tint to them. Is that normal?
  18. You mentioned using more breathable fabric. Do you think from the ribs down since the armor is going to cover that area up?
  19. Thanks this is great info. I’ms there information somewhere on the size of the ribbing? I don’t think I’ll have my armor until late January or early February so I have time to take my time and get it right. I’ve already list two inches off my waist since my pants came in from uniform warehouse so I don’t want to rush this and have to make adjustments a bunch of times.
  20. Cool, hope you get it figured out.
  21. If you have any resources you've found from others who have built his kit would you share? I ordered one of his kits last month. Thanks!
  22. Not quite. I’m also 5’10’m but I’m 250 pounds. But I’ll take the info for the base pattern and go from there. Between my wife and my mother I’m sure they can handle it. They did the ribbing for my flack vest.
  23. I just placed an order from Walt’s for a kit and I want to have all the soft parts done ahead of time. My mother is pretty darn good with a sewing machine. Has anyone come up with a pattern? What fabric are those that were brave enough to make this on their own using?
