  1. Hello all. I’ve been looking through build threads and haven’t seen an answer for my questions...my belt came in three pieces - the main belt with three sections, then two other pieces each with a section on them. All the belts I’ve seen had all five sections on one strip. how do I attach these? Also, can someone please direct me to a good build tutorial for the thermal detonator? I’ve seen so many variations that I’m getting a little confused. Thanks to all in advance!
  2. Hello - I clicked through on the 501st.com link, and it is says "temporary - closed" - did I miss it?
  3. I have glasses, and can't wear contacts...and I'm blind as a bat without some sort of correction. I've tried my helmet on several times, and within minutes my glasses steam up. Has anyone used any sort of a fan set up in their helmet? If so, how did it work? Thanks! Shannon (newbie)
  4. thanks! I'm not as broad across as some, I guess - I had to tuck the shoulder bells right up to the shoulder straps to get them to sit properly on my upper arm. Easy answer, I guess! Thanks.
  5. I'm using this build thread: http://www.studiocreations.com/howto/bikerscout/bscout_assembly.html It shows the utility belt as being completely around the waist using 2" cotton webbing - it attaches the plastic parts on the front to the 2" webbing. It seemed a bit more secure - what do you think?
  6. I got the kit second hand and there was 2†polyester webbing, but I wanted to go for the cotton webbing. My problem is how much I’ll need - I’m not skinny .
  7. Hello - I’m starting to build my hard armor and have a couple of questions. What is the appropriate distance between shoulder bell and shoulder strap, and what is the appropriate distance between lower edge of shoulder bell and upper edge of bicep armor? I have about an inch for each, but wanted to check. In addition, the caps that came with the thermal detonator (unassembled) are about a quarter inch larger than the perimeter of the ridged tubing. Is this correct or should they be more similar in diameter? Thank you! FYI - I have pix but was unable to load them because they were too big per the uploader.
  8. Ive checked all the local fabric stores and Home Depot but no luck. Any ideas?
