Hey everyone! So it’s been about a year, but having a baby puts things on the back burner. I actually have my build pretty much complete. I have a few more little adjustments I want to play with and will be ready to submit! I’ve done two low key non-LFL troops with my local squad as test runs. Nothing fell off and it’s fairly comfortable. Much more flexible than in my sandy! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Cool, yeah that makes me feel better. I only care about basic approval lol Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I did already sew the suede, but I suppose I can cut open the section to slide the elastic under. But I have the outer seams of the legs cut open and I need them taken in a little bit. So I feel like I need to do that before working on the elastic. Also, how much of the suede needs to show in the back? It’s not as visible back there as in the front. Gotcha. Thanks for your advice on all this, BTW! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Yeah. Does it have to go underneath the patch? I was going to sew it flush to it. That way it would be easier to adjust if need be. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Ok I e cut the suede and am now getting ready to start sewing... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Yeah I think I’ll do that too. I was wanting to get this done first since it is what I’m most nervous about. I built a sandtrooper so the armor parts of a TB don’t look terribly intimidating to me lol Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

It’s mostly the angle of the pic, but I think one side was slightly angled. But I was just slapping it on to see if I was in the ballpark of where I wanted to be. I couldn’t get a pic of the backside, but the patching was coming through slightly. I’ve seen pics on here where it goes through a little further so I may need to modify the pattern some. I’m not sure how strict it needs to be down to the centimeter. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Ok so I did a rough cut and fitting of a riding patch pattern. It was hard to get a, um, “crotch selfie” so it isn’t the best pic. It looks better when I’m standing straight. So, I’ve seen some pics where the corners are more rounded and some that are more squared-off. I’m guessing it doesn’t really matter in that respect? BTW, I’m not planning on going to Lancer. I just want to be approved so I can get out there trooping in something other than my sandy lol. Also test fit the gloves! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Hi all, so after months of life delays, etc. I’ve taken the next step in my biker scout build, and this will be my thread moving forward on it. I have my bucket done, an amazing Altmann work. I have the undersuit, gloves, and suede in hand. The SC armor, bund, boots, and vest are on order. My flightsuit fits better than the first one that I had to send back (basically a tent on me). I know I still need to take in the arms and legs a little. My next step will be the riding patches. I’m going to use some extra cloth I have around to make up the templates and test pin them to the flightsuit. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Back in February. I technically haven’t started actually working on my scout yet. I also have a mando merc custom build I’m working on, on top of various other homeowner projects lol. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -
Hi all! So my first step in working on my biker scout is done. Altmann makes a fantastic helmet for anyone thinking of going through him! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
