  1. The lid looks like an efx to me, def possible. Also it's been pointed out on the RPF that this could be screen used... from the mandalorian?
  2. Fantastic, here we go... Could I have measurements from these points to their corresponding points on the other side, And these points to their corresponding points on the other side also. (I know I forgot about C nevermind) Then I can just halve the numbers and use to check pencil marks (This is my fiberglass inaccurate scout I've had for years just for demonstration purposes.) Thanks Ron, these will be a big help.
  3. Thanks Ron, I'm in overdrive getting as much advice as I can, I'm not going to rush this as I'm enjoying it to much. Also I've been doing some research into the differences/variances in the measurements to the pencil cutlines. Would you mind measuring your helmet if I post some pics showing the way I've settled on to make it simple for newbies like me. I could post pics on your thread or start another?
  4. Beautiful I think you have the glossiness just right. are the decals easy to do? I used to have trouble with them as a kid and even screwed one up on my bandai shoretrooper kit recently, I noticed they give you two sets. I ordered an iron too thanks, they are available in the UK
  5. That's an amazing job there Mark, its so good to see these being finished so well, gives me hope
  6. Just lovely work, I love the attention to detail, Its really paying off. Making your own backing piece for the snout was exactly how I did mine on my fibreglass scout that I modded a few years ago and it was a nice touch I'll definitely be using your tips for overcoming the little problems on my RS build. Could you tell me what the model of iron is that you have there? I can't find anything that substantial online and a make would help.
  7. First thing I noticed was the painful jaw flair. I expect that is the main reason they took so long... and they still didn't nail it.
  8. Good good thanks , I did some working out to get the value between the two traps on the propstore lid in photoshop and came up with 58MM. The pencil marks on the helmet add upp to 61 or so.... so with that in mind and your last answer I'm pretty pleased with the pencil marks in relation to over all width time to commit.
  9. Thanks thanks for the answers, I have used E6000 on my (unfinished) trooper suit and I totally get that its removableI, thats a great plus with it I hope you don't mind more question's, you are right where I am. I have been worrying about the lines on the lid and how acurate they are. Especially the cuts that you have just made bringing the halves together. The ones on the front of the visor itself seemed a bit wrong?
  10. Hello there I'm a new member and I have just recieved this kit and will be learning the finer points as I go hopefully When you attach the reinforcing parts will you be using acetone melted paste or a plastic weld type glue?
  11. Hi there guys I'm a brand new member.... http://forum.bikersc...=0 I have bought the RS helmet kit on the understanding that it is the only lid actually from a screen used source (at least until efx comes through lol, at a higher pricepoint as well). I'm looking for a decent build guide that would be apropriate for the RS and plan to post my progress If anyone is interested. I'm not a total newb but would rather do my research thourghly before I do any more, at the mo its just trimmed
