Wow, this really looks good! I’m so glad that we were able to get this going again. It looks great!! What a team effort. Sorry I couldn’t finish but so happy you took over and made it happen. love it!

Update. Thanks to BikerScout007 and MrPoopie for all the help you guys are providing. Yes, this CRL is still a go. I've had some delays for family issues the last couple of months, but I'm fully committed to resume around the 1st of march. I know there's a few of you folks out there ready to see this thing come to life, as am I. MrPoopie has provided me all the 3D prints I need to help this along. Once I get started, there are only of few little tasks to complete before we can get this new costume submitted. If we get the CRL, I will try to start a new thread listing examples of how it all came about and help any of you along. It's coming. Stay tuned.

Let me find some red cord or wire to give a sample of both.

Mr. Poopie, that baton looks amazing. Nice work

I received the tubing for the wiring. Couple of issues I notice right out of the box. 1.- it’s more orange than red. 2.- it’s kinda stiff. I’m sure it can be heated and formed into shape but I’m worried about the part that runs down the arm not being flexible enough. I’ll cut and try a sample but regular red wire might be in order BikerScout007- what day you on the color? I think red makes sense.

TB - Scout Trooper: Jedi Fallen Order CRL Drafting

Agreed. This looks good. I had originally wanted to use electric cord like used on Level 2 TD wrap. But it needs to be painted when has to use a rubber vinyl paint. Too much trouble. This looks good. I’ll order tonight. -
Sounds good. I like the look of the red buttons. Status update - The neck seal is done. All the 3D parts ( battery, control box, buckle) have been sanded and primed. I'm just doing some touch-up sanding and extra layers of priming now. I'll start adding finish coats this weekend followed by clear coat. Bund WAS done, but since it's new material and I washed it, the size isn't right.....so I might have to do another. Next on list - red wiring, new jumpsuit, glove taser, belt alterations.

Okay I think that helps. And the cooling fins on the battery I will do in matching gloss black. We can decide on the control box buttons later. I actually like if they were red. Make more continuity with the wires. Staff- how do you do the neat pattern in the handle? The staff looks good though.
-
Color questions: The control box-flat or satin black? Don’t see a sheen in the screen grabs so looks flat. Battery greeblies- gray or black. They look gray to me. Wire connection, ribs in middle, and end cap. Control box- some pics show red buttons, but Mr Poopies game screen grabs show some kid of different patterns.

Sounds good.

I think we can allow some “practical” applications in a Level 1. Especially since this isn’t movie canon and just a computer design. Will your version of this baton be hollow inside? I’m thinking down the road if some wiring for the button and some led/wire for the taser part of the baton. Haven’t researched yet how this would be possible yet.
-
Well I’ll assume someone would just hold it 99% of the time anyway. ex., you don’t see too many Sandtroopers with their T-21’s slinged over their shoulders. But you’re right, maybe when everything is printed and put in place we can see how to make it happen.
-
Wow, never thought about that either, but you may be right.

Will there be a way to install a couple of small magnets to hold the baton to the battery pack?
