When i did mine i just measured against skin for both sheets, I bent my arms so my biceps for example were at their fullest. However the shin armour i measured with boots on.

In answer to your question yes there are a few threads on this subject

I Believe there are about 20 ribs in total on the Cummerbund

Any references to the film version should not be included unless 100% sure its a match IE stitching

I have been trying to count the ribs but they dont stand still long enough 🤨
