New pouches complete. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

It's SC armor and an Altmann helmet.

This fine specimen came in the mail today. Of course, I had to immediately see how everything fit together. Will hopefully be submitting approval photos this weekend. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Looks good to me. In addition to the stirrups on the feet, I added a loop of elastic for my thumbs since the gloves always seem to want to pull the sleeves back. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

They are not cut. I messed around with a utility knife on them a while ago and the sole material is incredibly hard. I’m a bit afraid to attempt it again, especially with the leather on it now. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Quick update: finally made it down to Chelmsford to hit Tandy and get the rest of the pigskin I needed. Boots are finished. 😀 Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Thanks, Griffin. As for the double rivets, one of the belt reference pictures on the CRL shows white capped double rivets on the rear and connecting each section. I know the MotM pics show a single rivet on the rear potion, but I’d argue that the text of the CRL needs to specify the connection method if it’s a requisite. That being said, I’m still not sure I want to try cutting into the boots. 😉 Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

My armor is SC - I have been very impressed with the quality. I'm 6'1 and it fit perfectly with minimal adjustment. I'll be going with an Altmann bucket. Update on the boots and cummerbund. Finished the pouches today and will likely be done with the right boot and holster tonight. The leather stretches nicely over the boot shafts when it's in the intended shape. Digger, my girlfriend and I spent all weekend doing nothing but costuming work, so we tore through a ton. She's a master seamstress and has a nice shop for leather working and sewing, so we have a great setup at her place. Will knock out the pouches next weekend. The ribbing looks a tad yellow on the cummerbund since we used a chalk marker to mark the channels and it doesn't come out easily. I love the way this outfit is coming together. Everything is fitting perfectly. I have the boots, helmet, pouches and some top stitching to finish, then all done. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Debateing on Helmet and Armor
TexasScout99 replied to WhiteNightForest's topic in ROTJ Biker Scout Armor/Helmet
Good choice on the SC. I just received my kit, and was blown away at both the care of packaging and quality of the pulls. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -
Just received my armor parts in the mail today, and noticed some small gaps between the tank and the back plate. I'm looking around at some of the submission photos and it looks like most of the time these two pieces are just riveted together. Does anyone ever fill those gaps with Bondo and dress it up or should it look distinctly like two pieces? EDIT: Disregard - just found the answer in the CRL. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Chopper, I did make my own balaclava. I found some cheap black cotton t-shirts, fashioned a flak vest pattern from them, then used the actual material for the balaclava. Super easy. Here are the flak vest and jump suit in all their glory. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
