TD greeblies are on backwards, or the picture is flipped
-
Well, I tweaked a few more things, and now I'm officially TB-12792!!
-
Made new pouches, 5 x 5.5 x 2, they look sooooo much better.
-
I saw that on the pouches, no way to fix them now. I planned to make another set to scale them down, these were made from the pattern on here, 6x7x2.5. Next set will be 5x6x1.75.
-
Good catch! I'll even those up.
-
Well, here we go! My first 501st application. This build was a ton of fun. These photos haven't been submitted yet, wanted to let you all see them first. 3 things I noticed, need to tighten up the collar, adjust the bicep and forearm armor, and add velcro to hold the knees up (they slipped down in the photos.)
-
How tall is the bund? It looks like it may be too long.
-
Realized I goofed the suede, have to redo it. Ah well. I was excited to be done with the soft stuff too!!
-
Update time. Finally got over my fear of messing up the bucket and got to work! First picture is where the seam between the back and the cap is, after I filled it. What does everyone think? Lancer worthy or basic only? The second pic is how far I got with it tonight. Needs the snout greeblie (paint drying) and the decals added, plus still need to cut ears out and paint the inside black.
-
If they're too big they're too big. I bought enough material to make 4 sets in case I messed up. I'll use these for basic and make a new set for lancer afterwards. Thanks for the feedback. Which dimension do I need to scale down, or should I just take like 15 to 20 % off every dimension?
-
Vest is done now too!
-
Finally got some time to attach the pouches to the bund, working on the vest and cod next.
-
Good job on the helmet, I've been saving that for last on my build because I'm too afraid to mess it up lol!
-
Pouches made, I may seam rip the flap back off the one pictured on the left and re-sew it back on.
-
Made some progress tonight, got a lot done on the pouches. I way underestimated how much work those are (when you make them Lancer spec 😎)
-
Wish my wy wife had left the flash off, my fault for not checking before I de-armored.
-
So I think I'll juat use this as a build thread. Tonights update, cummerbund is almost finished, just need to sew on the velcro to hold the pouches. Ignore any blue you see on on the bund, its chalk. Got to have straight lines! Need to fine tune the lengths of the drop box straps, and correct the tank pinstriping.
-
So cut just inside that line?
-
My proposed cuts
-
Ill trim those up a bit. I'm going to draw some lines on the inside and post a picture of that to see if I have the area lined correctly.
-
Test fitted my upper armor after I finished working on it tonight, the belt with boxes and knees are finished, but I'm not wearing them for this test. This was all about testing the placement of the armor on my arms to make sure everything is sitting in the right place. If anybody notices anything, let me know.

Thanks for the replies everyone!
-
I like that material better, and I just bought a couple yards of duck cloth to redo mine. Curse my OCD!!!
-
2 quick questions for Belt and drop box straps.
Scout83 replied to TB-1599's topic in ROTJ Biker Scout Armor/Helmet
I used white for the belt and off white for the drop boxes. I'm still waiting for my TD, but I plan to do mine similar to how pandatrooper did his. If you haven't seen his build thread, you need to look it up. -
I use the 1/8 by 1/8 rivets and the 1/8 x 1/4 rivets if I need a little bit more or if I put a washer on it.
