Great idea on the wood putty. I wouldn't have thought of that but it worked well.

I have the Imperial Boots undershirt as well and it is very good quality. I don't have the shore trooper boots from IB but I do have shadowtrooper boots from them and they are also very good quality. Shipping is rather expensive but they have been reliable.

I've used thin strips of foam in areas that overlap and that has helped in reducing the scratches. I also used an automobile clear coat that you can purchase in cans at the automotive stores. Seems to work well.
