Congratulations Scot! -
I tie mine. It's a bit of a pain, but I don't think my boots would stay on my feet if I didn't!

I never got to meet Jason, but we messaged back and forth quite a bit. When I was building my WTF armor, he was putting together a WTF helmet at the same time. We bounced ideas and pictures off each other for months. He was always kind and I wished to meet him some day. My thoughts go out to his family and friends. RIP my friend.

I honestly thought they were long enough. I suppose they weren't. So, longer rivets and use washers instead of the ABS. -
So, I was trying to get my boot holster riveted to my boot tonight and the whole thing fell apart. I used a backing inside the boot to have something for the rivets to grab on to. But alas, they just fell out after 20 seconds. Now there are four holes in my boot, four rivets in my holster that I have no idea how to get out, and I have Wizard Con this Saturday. Please, suggestions are welcome.

I used Rust-oleum 2X Ultra Cover Paint+Primer Semi-Gloss White. My helmet turned out fantastic. (WTF armor by the way)

WTF bucket gap filler

Man that looks so good. What paint did you use? I still need to finish up the visor, then glue in the face, then put it all together. Hopefully this weekend it will be finished!!! -

My mentor and I ended up going to an Auto Zone to get what we needed. It worked, but it's a bit of a mess. We started the sanding process so hopefully my helmet will be finished soon; before the 9th. *fingers crossed* -
WTF bucket gap filler

Ok thank you so much! -
Hey all, For those of you who have had experience with WTF builds, what did you use to fill in the gap between the two halves of the helmet, and sand down before painting? On one of Walt's video tutorials, he talks about using devcon to attach both halves together (I did that) and continue using it to fill in the gaps. Problem: I am out of devcon, this product is no where around me, and I'm trying to get this costume finished before June 9th for Wizard World in Columbus. Would bondo work? I've never used bondo or similar before. https://imgur.com/a/08JG4Zp

For someone who has done a WTF kit, can you help me out? For the face plate, how much should be trimmed off the top?
-
OK, I think I got this picture thing worked out. Here's my TD and how I think the clips should go. Thoughts? Also, the center piece of velcro is holding a snap, so I can snap it to my belt buckle.
-
Ok thanks. The back of the detonator was exactly what I was looking for.

Hello everyone! I'm getting (sorta) close to finishing my armor and have a question about the thermal detonator: how far apart/close do the clips go? Are they further towards the end caps, or are they more aligned with the box. And I would upload pictures but I keep getting and error saying the file is too big. Thanks in advance.
