Personally i wouldn't touch anything from ebay for getting items for your costume heard / seen too many people get burnt & end up wasting there money as the GML wont approve it the Trade section will be your best area & not ebay James

Hey everyone just found out the CRL has been updated for the Thermal Detonator & thought i would let everyone know what i found Belt and Detonator For 501st approval: Gloss white, semi-gloss or lightly weathered. The front and two "boxes" of the belt are made of plastic. The remainder of the belt that fastens at the back of the waist, is made from a textile material (webbing). Hanging from the sides of the belt are hip boxes (drop boxes). Drop boxes are also made from plastic. Drop boxes are connected to the belt via white textile straps. If using off-white Cummerbund pouches and side straps, the drop box straps are also off-white. [*]Attached to the The back of the belt is a rectangular thermal detonator box with short grey corrugated hose. [*]The correct thermal detonator greeblies are attached to the box. The rectangular part of the thermal detonator greeblie, fixed on the left side of the detonator, is the same as used in the rebel Endor trooper rank badge. On the right hand side is the same round greeblie as used on the Scout tank topper. See the detonator detail page for a close up image of the greeblies. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- ( Looks like Level 2 is where the changes have taken place on the CRL ) For level two certification (if applicable): Belt ideally should be made from a one-piece construction with no visible gaps, and not separated with fabric in between sections, apart from at the back where the TD box sits. Making any joins in a 3 part belt seamless, is highly recommended. Drop boxes hang at the correct distance from the belt. Thermal Detonator end caps to be concave and not flat. Thermal Detonator must have visible black clips attaching it to the web belt, as seen in the film. Optional:- Thermal Detonator tube to be wire wrapped and not ribbed tube.

what i would do is not mess with the ABS Plastic as you will end up breaking it best thing i can think of is make up some covers that will go over your shoulders make them out of white cotton & you will just have too make the velrco strips a bit longer but the white cotton covers will hide the velcro & you will have too make the side straps will have too be longer & have the velcro on the inside James

your welcome & the other thing you going too need is the cumberbund ( the nappy ) lol as thats what some call it James

Soft Parts -Etsy- Thoughts and Opinions help
Starwheels replied to BikerScoutAlexx's topic in ROTJ Biker Scout HQ
the only thing that looks ok to me is the flak vest all the other items dont think well get approved by the GML for 501st The Pic of the flight suit has a zip you can see & for flight suits there has too be no visable zips showen also theres no mandrin collar flap so the flight suit would not get a pass from the GML ( meanning it wont get approved ) best type to get for a flightsuit is from RedKap (link below ) this can be used as a flight suit & the zip is hidden / cant be seen https://www.amazon.c...0?ie=UTF8&psc=1 hope this helps you out James -
Hi there Everyone currently working on a TB Bulid & thought i would put this mod up here so others can follow what i did (had to get someone too do the sewing part as i can sew to save myself) if you dont have the overalls yet you can get them from amazon link here ---> https://www.amazon.c...0?ie=UTF8&psc=1 Redcap Coveralls As A Flight Suit For A Scout Trooper Make Sure You Got Black Cotton For Sewing No Other Colour Can Be Used ! 1, The back pockets have to be unstitched, the material can be repurposed for making the mandarin collar. 2, Unstitch the left side of the upturned collar, workout where you going to have the 2 stripes of Velcro ( see photo below ) & sew 1 side of the Velcro to the mandarin collar flap & the other side of the Velcro to the upturned Collar. ( make sure you can't see any stiching from the velcro on the front of the mandarin collar ) now make sure you have folded all edges in to hide the edge of the material & sew them, now sew 3 edges shut but leave one of the short ends open, now slide The mandarin collar flap down into the unstitched collar opening that you unstitched earlier have it in about 1-2 inches (5 cm) in the upturned collar, and stitch them together as one & make sure the fold is at the top 3, The RedKap also has a "utility knife" pocket on the right leg that needs to go. The chest pockets arguably could stay as they're covered by the vest and armor, but can be removed & good for making repairs as then its the same material when doing repairs This is what the overalls should look like when the mods too the collar have been completed 4, You need to add the Suede or faux suede thigh patches extending over the flight suit crotch and down the front finishing above the knee armor. The thigh patches must be secured by 50mm (2") black elastic, sewn in under the front and back of the thigh patch. Front Veiw Back Veiw photos were done by a friend have fun with making your mandarin collar & mods to your overalls James
